e.g. if u play NC lets say a Monk all i need to know is ppu or apu

That's very nice of you.

and it definitely is one way to get to learn photoshop.

I'm just a bit worried you might make it feel a bit like work to use the program when you make things for others, because in my experience, it's best to have the program feel like fun, so you are learning it because you think it's fun and not using it because someone asked you to make something for them.

Making stuff for others:

PRO: You have more incentive to actually do it, and you have something to do if imagination takes a nap.

CON: It might feel like work and then you'll not want to do it anymore after a period of time.

Making random stuff because you think it could be fun to make a dogfish:

PRO: It won't feel like work, because you do it because you think it's fun.

CON: You won't have anything you can really use for anything than your own amusement, and it's very hard to get yourself pulled together to do it... unless of course you have the willpower of a psi monk that didnt know it was a drain stat.

but as said, I think it's a very nice offer of you to make.

Lexxuk sig is the best.

one advise: dont touch the layer effects - everyone immediately recognizes them and it'll make your sigs look like mediocre filter-fuck. this esp. true for text-layers.

I'm nothing with gfx, but something which allways hurts:

If a text is casting clear shadows on non-planar backgrounds. It just looks wrong (making the background look artificial), like on your clouds in #2. I'd expect the shadow to follow it's backgrounds depth
