Hello runners,
Just a little something I made to promote Neocron.
This video shows some of my friends and my self playing my rifle spy (BlackMaze 61/52 **) while fighting mobs at Regant's, please enjoy! :cool:

It's hard to make something like exp grinding look at least a little interesting. So very hard.

Just kidding, am I the only one that enjoyed this movie? Could be because I've not played NC for several years now, it's nice to see Neocron in action again.
actually, if you click the high quality link just below the movie, it's much better quality (well at least resolution).
it's ok I guess for showing grinding, but won't attrack too many players because it's just one mob repeater over and over, better would be for example fragments from all kinds of mobs

i would have included more interaction between chars. eg some ppu dude buffing and rezzing the fighters and DEFINITELY shown more interaction the boss room. i know fraps or what ever might have killed your frames but it would have looked better that way. less of the grind and more of the fun.
Have to admit I have only twice been in the boss room and that was what's seen on the video :p Sorry!

I can't find a DL for the Gazette production either. May upload it myself tomorrow then, if I can find it on my HDD.

agreed with gamefreak. the video has scenes shot in neofrag. it shows him lose to a guy who has a ppu backing him and couldnt move very well at all. i turned it off when i saw the woc tank with the ion cannon who looked like he was afk.
im glad i didnt waste time downloading it either.
Good try for a first video, it isn't easy thing to do. One good thing you have done, which is very rare in any NC movie, is recorded the ingame sound.
I have to agree with Biglines comment on featuring more mobs, and also Gamefreak comment on using a few more weapons.
Also as you realised, YouTube kills the picture quality, so for your next video try and make a Hi-Def version available for download. ;)

Was never meant to be a bragging vid. That's not who I am or what I do. That said, the guy was Smurfis and he was being PPUed for, so I think it can be forgiven.

Not AFK, just not very good (as you can see when he runs).
Anyway, what would you have preffered to see? Do you think a good PVP vid has to be from the point of view of an "OMG I'M SO LEET" player? How could it be better? (I like feedback, both positive and negative. But I do need to know where it is going)
Going back to the sarter of the video and trying to be more helpful there:
Promotional videos need to show more variety. 3 minutes of the same dungeon being gridned isn't it. Clips of several different bossfights might work. Showing a bit more teamwork and a bit more variety of classes would be nice. Maybe some outdoor hunting as well.

Here's a tip for not letting youtube ruin your video: Convert the video to .flv format before uploading it.
That's a very helpful tip. Asuming I can just download such a converter on the net, I'll give it a shot tonight!
