I was just on Mars all morning long, logged for a break, am trying to log back in to Terra
Launcher window stays totally white//no server ip
anybody else have same problem ?? :confused:

dunno what the issue is...i just ALT F4'd, relogged...then rebooted my PC and relogged just fine both times.

White screen on the laucher. Thought it was me and shutdown stuff and rebooted, but nope. No NC ce soir :(

I think Nidhogg ran away apparently there is an external network issue that is blocking the dns requests to the server. Might I have everyone check their updater.ini file to verify the correct IP of the server. Unfortunately no one was able to provide me with the updated IP address that the clients should point to. So, I can't tell you all what to point your clients to.

The URL://launcher.neocron.com (//launcher.neocron.com) points to the old server IP which after the migration and fall of tenacle, as changed. Thus, your launcher is resetting the IP and isn't working. IF I can find out the proper IP (which used to be in a forum) then we can replace the URL with the IP and all will be well bypassing the DNS server.

eh thats the old IP. I checked with the DNS services and the launcher IP has changed again recently that brings us to dowel.neocron.com. So I suppose they are working the issue but are slow atm.

yeah i just logged again, exited completely, and relauched uNex Laucher v.1 and again with v.2; I'm able to get to all my toons and zone/gr to wherever, so the game servers are still running, but now im heading to the bar IRL, theres only myself and another runner logged in, so no 115 pokey for me, must drown my Neocron sorrows away :( :(

Well thell me what IP your game is pointing to or run a ipconfig/all at a command prompt. Tell me what DNS servers are listed.

Well that is a great help, unfortunatly with the Launcher URL being messed up its overwriting the ini file and without it it will not write to the client.exe file telling it the new IP. I am downloading the unEx file from techhaven to see if that fixes it. What are your DNS Servers????

Could always put your updater as read-only, but i think the server might flag it as a modified file or some sort of attempt to change/hax, so I'm not sure if that is authorized.
This is what I was told to do:
NC Launcher Login Probs/Hotfix
As the IP addresses have changed during the server migration, the DNS entries had to be adjusted as well. Because of the architecture of the DNS system these changes are not taking effect on all worldwide DNS servers immediately and it may take up to four days to complete this update. This means that some DNS servers are still using the old IP addresses as the update has not reached them yet.
Until the update of the DNS entries has been completed you can bypass this problem by proceeding as follows:
1. Open the Windows Explorer by pushing the keys “Windows” and “E”
2. Search for the file Hosts under x:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ and open it with a text editor. X: is the drive of your Windows installation. (In most cases it is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\)
3. Enter „83.236.174.250 launcher.neocron.com“ (without quotation marks) in a new row and safe the file.
Additionally the DNS cache can be emptied to be on the safe side. For this please proceed as follows:
1. Push the Start button and select “Run” in the Windows menu
2. Enter cmd and hit OK
3. A command window should then open
4. In the command window enter ipconfig /flushdns and confirm with hitting “Enter”
The cache is successfully cleared when the message “Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver cache”
which means the last 3 digit in Phipers list are 251, mine are 250

Everything works fine for me, This is why I set my updater.ini to read only, So that it doesn't randomly change.
OK well unEx is gay. I cant figure it out. says I have the wrong password etc.

well I am able now to get it to the load, and entering my user/passy to access the server, but it just goes back to entering the name/passy after trying and failing to connect.
Sigh.. so close.. im there man :(

Seriously, are things STILL down? what is going on? It's been like 19 hours now :|
I can get past the white launcher page, and into actually loading the game, but upon entering user name and passy, and hitting enter, all i get is "connecting to server" then back to the entering name/passy with no error message or anything. If i put in a false account name, it'll give me an error saying the account doesnt exist, and then if i try to re-enter the original correct name and password, it still shows that error after trying to connect.
If i fully exit the game and restart it, then it'll go back into the same cycle again
Is anyone else having issues still? or are ya'll playin with no probs? this is so not cool :|
Oh and just for grins and testing, I did uninstall and reinstalled a couple times now, just to make sure it wasnt anything corrupted or whatever. Same dealio each time

Well, the launcher was giving nothing but white til a couple hours ago. Now its actually connecting to its page. I could click to launch the game, and it would run through the autopatcher, then load into the game.
once there I could enter name/pass and hit Enter, and it'd say Connecting To Server... then just go back to the name/passy dialog with no error or message.
NOW if i try to launch the game, the launcher still shows its page correctly, but when hitting to play the game, the autopatcher sticks at Connecting to server
So I guess we took a couple steps forward, and one step back
Oh and if i try to run client.exe directly it comes up with all kinds of dll errors and such, completely boinks the game
i do belive that thier wont be any nc for today :(

Bout the gyst of it for me. Launcher comes up with its spiel about news and such, and then when clicking to play, the auto-updater just sits there connecting
screw this im off to bed bitterly disapointed lol it better be up by the morning !!!!!! :(

Most of the issues have been resolved but we are still encountering a problem with the login server. Our tech department is still working on it and I am not able to give you an ETA yet.

It will need to recognize the timeout of the connection to show up ith the missing info page. Before the timeout happens nothing gets shown.
