Hello everyone, all safe and sound !

staying in a very nice, clean and sophisticated hotel :p
(but no bloody towels... ><)

The roads here in the street are as busy as the motorway every hour of the day... There's meant to be two lanes per side, yet the cars feel it is fine to try and squeeze FIVE per lane... Constant Bib'ing every second.

Oh and and you'd think in this day and age, they'd have traffic crossing lights...
WRONG !

You look around in a daze wondering where and how to cross the road, then you see a man just walk out casually into the road playing "Adrenaline dodge the traffic game" And bear in mind, this is as busy as a motorway...
Never felt so scared in my life :\

Getting the confidence to do it myself now but it's still a life or death situation...

Today we met our tour group and took a trip down to Giza and the pyramids!
Got to ride a camel which was amusing and yet a white knuckle thrill ride...

Got up close to the pyramids and even got a chance to go inside one, into a tomb...
Such a small tiny tunnel which such little oxygen, i didn't think i'd make it.
If dad was still smoking, he would have died only halfway down.

Got down to the bottom of the tomb only to see some bugger had cleared all the gold and treasures out.. including the mummy.. Bastards !

Went and visited a spynx, spinks.. spinx however you spell it :p
Which was nice.

Well i gotta go now, to go on our overnight train to Luxor where i shall visit the valley of the kings ! :D

Update soon when i get the chance, byeeee !

Man, that certainly sounds like a blast!
A shame that all the treasure was pilfered already though.

Such a small tiny tunnel which such little oxygen, i didn't think i'd make it.Wuss :p I remember those tunnels.. there's oxygen all right, but it was so bloody hot

Got down to the bottom of the tomb only to see some bugger had cleared all the gold and treasures out.. including the mummy.. Bastards !Last year, they opened the sarcophagus of Tutankhamun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tutankhamun) and are displaying him in a glass box within the tomb. Did you get to see him? That's my motivation for going there again.

Went and visited a spynx, spinks.. spinx however you spell it :pSphinx

Update soon when i get the chance, byeeee !and there the trail goes cold... did the Nobster succumb to the mummy's curse??

The tour guide recommended us not to pay and go into Tutankhamun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tutankhamun) tomb as the sarcofocuss thingy was closed shut

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. :(
I know what it's like to lose a pet that's close to you.

I heard Egypt is pretty disappointing to travel to these days from several friends :(, maybe nobby can confirm some of this?

You travel along the beach just to meet heavily armed soldiers that tells you that it's not safe that way and tells you that you should walk back, if you decide to walk the other way you meet soldiers again telling you the same thing, so you can't really roam around freely as you maybe would like to.

The Egyptians are horrible at English.

If you decide to take a trip through the desert, prepare for a police escort, desert pirates are fairly common there.

And I'm sorry about your dog Nobby, I know how you feel. Me and my ex bought a puppy and we broke up a year after that. She then planned to get it executed at the vet because she couldn't handle two dogs. I told her I could take the ownership of the dog, she refused because it would not be "humane" to send it to a new home, so she killed the dog instead, how that is even more humane than giving it a new home I have no idea but she is clearly a fuck up and I wish her all unluck in the world. That dog was like my own baby and I still occasionally dream about that dog. Funny though, the dog's name was Zaba, after some Egyptian queen if I remember it right.

I felt like i've lost a Brother.

I don't know what I would have done in your case if my girlfriend had done such an inhumane thing such as that...

I never went to a beach in Egypt, so I wouldn't know.

The Egyptians were fine at English. When you've been to Japan, where English is near to Non-existant, you know the difference between good or bad ;)
