Question for you lot :P
B4 i stopped playing you could go to factorys
and buy your construction parts for slightly less
than crytons.
I was wondering can you still do this and iff so
what places sell the parts it has been so long
i have forgotten most of what i knew..

Nope.
Crytons (and Tech Angels) are the only places to get weaponparts these days. IF you want them cheaper, you have to make them yourself from chemicals. Or buy through a barterer. Or for maximum cost reductions, do both.

This one is tricky as not all outposts follow the same rules. For example at Simmons Factory Yo's sells weapons and weapon mods etc.


I buy all my CST/RES lube from several outposts with Barter far cheaper than in the city.

Parts though are not sold at OP's.

If you click on the first vendor icon, it shows you what he sells, the second vendor hasn't been completed yet.

You will eventually be able to search all locations like this , or via item by using THN Item Databse (http://www.techhaven.org/db/)

For example, where can i buy the assault rifle? HERE (http://www.techhaven.org/db/showitem/1471.html) look at the links detail, click on link to wiki and it shows you exactly where you can obtain the item in game.

Although still in it's infancy, once the data grows it will be an amazing source of information.

Actually, as far as I have ever noticed, they all follow exactly the same rules:

All outposts have one vendor that sells:
All ammo types.
All non-rare weapon mods.
Psi boosters and armour.

All outposts have a second vendor that sells an assortment of lousy weapons and some other items I forget.

Then Labs, Uplinks and Fortresses only have one medical vendor that sells:
Medkits
Stam boosters
LOMs
Lube.

There is a discount for purchasing from outposts, and then a further discount from being in the clan that owns the outpost.

Probably right tbh :) , i have always visited labs for lube out of habit, wasn't 100% sure if the factory would sell it or not. Even after years of playing i still have to look around lol, bad at remembering shit like that !

I just use Jericko Fortress to buuy my lube from, even if the GR is locked its only 1 zone from outzone station....nice and handy.
