Is it possible to have 2 accounts running off the same NC on my pc? i was thinking about getting one of my other 4 accounts working as well as my main one but i dont know rather it will work so i am just asking before i do it ??

You should be able to just copy the client folder and config another local network port for the other one
Make sure to adjust your NAT/firewalls accordingly though
I've had it work like this, not a big hassle
however it's been a long time and I can't remember all that clearly :rolleyes:

Just make sure you change your local port in the settings before trying to dual log. Then it works fine, although not quite as stable.

Tried to play. Tried to change ports. But always someone of us get's kicked out or it is stucky..

I run 2 or 3 accounts at the same time regularly here, all you need to do is ensure they all use a different port by altering the local port setting in the Neocron Config settings, and then route each version accordingly to the correct pc in your routers port forwarding settings.
I have very little problems can have 1 main player fighting etc 2nd char ressing or cst'ing and log the 3rd should i need buffs or pokes.
this is what i used to do in nc1, now i am having trouble as my chars from my second account get stuck in sync. is it possible to log off one account and log straight onto another account without getting stuck in sync??? i only have one pc

That does sound like the local port not being set. I've had 5 accounts running on my LAN at once before(two mine, two friend A and one friend B) and as soon as we had all the localports set we had no trouble. =/
Only by running 2 versions of the game on the 1 pc
open up your main HD normally C: go to program files, scroll down till you find the Neocron folder, right click it and choose copy, go to your desktop or a differentHD if you have one right click and paste. this gives you 2 versions but at the moment they will both try and use the same port, s on the second version you created open the folder and go to the icon that sayys neocron configuration settings (will only say Neocron on the screen) open this up and look down the list for the local port setting, just alter it to a different number for example just add 10 to it so 16457 becomes 16467. then close it.
now if you need a second char just alt tab to desktop and run the second client.
Also a good idea to alter the main folders name to say Nerocron 2 s you know the difference.

You had a whole thread on the subject and it has now been stated by numerous people how to use 1 PC to run 2 neocron clients and to log in on both accounts at the same time!
Duel Account usage for Dummies
1. Go to program files and find your neocron 2 directory.
2. right click and copy it, save as "Neocron 2 copy" i.e. change it's name
3. Launch NC as per normal and log in.
4. Alt tab
5. Select the "neocron 2 copy" directory and launch the game again from there.
6. Select configuration at the top of launcher window and change the local port.
7. Log in under second account
8. Alt Tab between gaming screens i.e. your 2 accounts, being careful not to do it in the wastes as thats almost always creates a Fatal.
9. Poke yourself a new brain implant8|

Me and my brother used to play NC over a router on two different computers in the same house, didn't have to change the port (unless the port was already different, didnt need to check) but simple changing the port in the options lets you dual log, i've had no problems dual logging in the past...

In the risk to repeat myself.
You were given the above advice already in your own thread. Since you seemed not to be able to either read or follow it thoroughly. So I gave you an alternative to your "i am not able to poke myself"-issue, because you were still stuck after all available fixes were given to you.
Since you seem to misunderstand the hint to make this disadvantage an advantage by promoting tradeskillers and _maybe_ playercount, i guess you didn't read my posts any more thoroughly.
Anyways, here is a little additional help on multiple clients:
If you create another copy of Neocron on the same drive, then copy the *.pak files (not the pak_*.*) to the root directory of that drive, and delete them in the neocron folders. Now the neocron instances will share one copy of the big files (they are read only anyways) and thus save place on disk and disc-caches (thus speeding up dual logging a wee wee bit)
i think you will find that altough people did post solutions to the problems, i did not understand and clearly the author of this thread did not either otherwise why would he write the thread. bearing in mind that i have never done this before, in nc1, i never loaded 2 games or changed anything, i would press escape, count down the 10 seconds and screen would refresh to the log on screen, i would press delete once to get to my second account username and off i go, in less that 5 seconds i would be on and i could res my dead char then he would disappear.
the above solutions have been broken down to a state that i now understand. i am sorry but unlike most of the people who play this game, i very limited with what i do with Pc's. i use them to type on at work and thats it. where as most of you can build / design / re program and do all sorts with pcs, you forget that some people cannot. for example at home i will turn it on and look on internet or play nc. that is all. when everyone goes on about changing file names and moving ports etc, people like me do not know what the fuck you are going on about and unfortuantely it has to be broken down into lamens terms to be understood, just like i would have to do with you if you wanted to understand my line of work.
now if i recall, you personally were actually no help. you were moaning about people duall logging just to get people to make trade chars. not everyone wants to be a fucking trader. i agree there is a serious lack of traders, but im sorry i aint paying for a game where i stand around in plaza telling people i can poke / cst etc. its also very boring trying to persuade people to log theri alts for 1 poke so its just easier to log my own poker and then go on my merry way.
with regards to player counts, i dont think advertising trade skills is going to bring any new players so it doesnt matter if everyone duall loggs.

But its better to copy it. I have had alot memory leaks on the second opened NC. But since ive copied neocron, they are gone. :)
Something along the same lines when i alt tab in the wastelands how come i crash but when i do it in a room or in NC it doesnt happen at all why is this but sometimes it lets me i would say 8 out of 10 times it will crash.

I run them full screen and so long as you don't alt-tab in the wastelands its stable, provided you have the memories to run them.

Lol i have one woc guy and thats napper he has 360million xp but he has no woc disk.

Totally unrelated, but to answer your question Napper, rumour is that the game runs on two separate engines, one for the indoor and neocron areas, and one for the wastelands, the alt-tab bug doesn't exist in the indoor code, but does in the outdoor engine.
WoC really isn't that important, it's just cool to have. It's also kind of tacky to use in serious PvP. (PA's aside)
