Hi there,
I directed a shortfilm called Erwachen (The Awakening) which is about 4:34 mins long and 53,2mb large. You can get it here: www.dws.g-trans.de/Erwachen.avi
It requires DivX and I recommend to use the windows media player because the aspect ratio (16:9) is displayed correctly with it. If you use the VLC Player you have to set the aspect ratio to 16:9.
I also created a videoinstallation which is about 12 minutes long and I have uploded an excerpt of it. You can get it here: www.dws.g-trans.de/SK2.avi
Both films contains sound.
Content: I recommend to watch the film first and then read about the meaning.
The Film deals with the demotion of women as an object.
This is shown through the voyeur in the beginning. When the women claps the fly and apperas behind the umbrella he recognizes that she is more than an object. thats the point when the follows her to emphasize that fact.
The last part is symbolic for the emancipation and in the end, both of them are standing peacefully to face each other and set the way for a new beginning.
