right i thought id come play nc again and just come to install it - via disk and it keeps saying it cant install the terrain.pak etc etc can anyone help me out at all - thanks

download a new copy and install that

Also, try installing to a new location without uninstalling what you've tried before... I remember someone once had that problem - when it came to reinstalling, it would try to copy the same data over the same location as it was just replacing files. If - just if :p - this fixes things, that's indicative of a hard disk prob and you should run checks.

are you trying to use an old NC1 disc?

if so, just download the newest client !

Corrupt files on install means:
There is not enough space free in your /temp folder to extract the file

Make sure you have about twice the memory free you need for neocron on your C: drive, iv you install there, or about 1.5gb on C: and the needed space on the drive you are insalling too.

Extract the whole contents of the disk to a folder on your harddrive

Run setup.exe from the folder, should fix it :)

If not, its corrupt, redownload

didnt work - tried to DL ot from dome of york webby and it was corrupt from there - spent the past 7 hours downloading from different webbys - trying from gamershell and if this dont work then i give up =/

The installation on the DOY website isn't corrupt so you should be looking for another problem. Do you have plenty of free disk space? Do you have multiple partitions and your temp folder is pointing to a partition without much free space (even if you're trying to install on another partition that does)?

Nobby he was installing from the discs! then the Download, so there must be some other issue if both sources are throwing up the same error.

you know me logan? o.O how so? xD and yes its fixed - the only side that didnt have corrupt files was gamershell and nid if you would have taken time to read my previous posts i have over 130GB free on my hard disk so its got nothing to do with my PC and also i realised its because you have changed it from NC2 to NC 2.2 - i have disks for NC2 hence why it might not let me install from disks!

If you read mine you would have seen the partition question. We've seen plenty of people with two partitions (one for the OS and one for everything else) where installs failed because the temp ZIP files were being created on the small system partition.

Anyway, glad to hear you got the problem resolved in the end!
