NC Lockup

Im having an issue with NC locking up when it reaches the last startup screen (the one just before the logon screen).

Ive tracked the problem to "Acrobat Destiller" (acrodist.exe), however NC is the only app that seems affected by acrodist.exe so it would be nice if KK would look into this i think, as the problem apparently resides within NC.

Anyone else having this problem too?

Yeah it took about seven weeks for the server to respond, so i took the liberty to click one more time before i had a browser timout. :lol:

Dunno how to do that. but it makes sense how it might solve the problem though. :)

I have

NOSPLASH = "TRUE"
NOEXTRO = "TRUE"
in my neocron.ini file.

Or a restart. This happens to me and other various members once in a while, a restart always seems to kick it in the teeth and make it quit acting up.

I tried the mods for the ini, the game started to crash when trading with others...

So i just hafta shut down acrodist before running nc. ;)

have you tried the check integrity first? it might be a corrupted file!

Yeah i chked file integrity already, the only probs i have with NC crashing is:

1) If acrobat distiller is running (crash just before logon screen appears)
2) If running 2 clients, the game becomes somewhat unstable


Ofcourse theres the usual spontanious crash/fatal that NC have suffered from, however i have fewer in 2.2 than earlier versions. :D

I presume youve given the 2 clients different port no's in your .ini file when running both together?

Yeah well i set it from within the NC launcher, first one is 21042 and the other is 21045. :)

on my nc.ini s i got LOCALPORT = "20999" and LOCALPORT = "22999" no crash no nothing it works perfectly
