Handling on melee weapons ?

Hey ... this question has been bothering me for quite some time :

what's the use of handling on melee weapons ? It's on the item description and in the 2.2 patch notes about weapon stats, however I can't see how it comes into play ...

Does anyone got a clue about this ?

Good question. No reticle, no aiming, no target box = no hit. :confused:

Oh and the damage isn't random either so it's not that.
