Id quit to go play ut2k4 by that point, I think that was the summer I took off from nc anyway by the look of it.

Now I remember. I was a player killer-killer. Global (what was it called back then?) would get cries of help from noobs levelling in sewers and whoever was around would form a group to go kill the gankers. I was in a lot of those groups. That shit rocked! Now I remember the reason for the fac symp missions too. :lol:
edit: I can't remember why fac symp was important.. I do remember OP zones having drops and SL hits though, and no quickbelt drops, just the item. I had to run missions after every OP war. :o

Jan 03.... my first month in nc. Watching the Ronins and uTs argue on trade afterwards, the hybrids taking out 3 or 4 other players and the thrill of getting a new gun, taking it in the sewer, getting ganked and losing it again in like 5 mins. Awesome.

Finding launchers in there at level 20 was hella scary man! We used to spend HOURS AND HOURS down there back in the day.
It was awesome fun, but you knew if you stayed too long that some fools would to give you the mcslay eventually.

Industrial areas were best when they had the only OP's in them. Now that was exciting, one of the first to hack an OP. I just loved the noise of the machines going as you frantically hacked in fear of people turning up.
Sometimes wish the wastelands was quarter of the size and the areas in Neocron that were not used much (like Ind zones and the REAL sewers) were used more.

I seem to remember a certain LAN party with you, Xan, Arrakis & co. in St. Helens.
Ahhh, the good days of the UT2k4 demo + discovering the fine beverage that is Port.
Those days in NEXT FLUX (I'm sure Akasha, Slick, Djingo, etc were still around at that point!) were some of the most fun I had in NC. Would be excellent to come along to the next LAN party!
:D we did rock thats for sure vs many GM'd up teams in ridiculous numbers.
Glad to see most of us are still alive if no longer having the time to game mentally, many a night it felt like it was FLUX vs Germany :rolleyes:
