Neocron Launcher won't work

Right after I updated my client with the latest patches, I start the launcher, but I get a blank inch by inch sized window with the a red circle with a white "x" inside. My only option is to exit out of that window.

After that I get the Neocron Launcher, but its blank. There isn't the web page with the news, its all white blank. The Neocron server in the top drop down menu isn't there; its back.

Any ideas?

Check the file "updater.ini" in the ini folder of your neocron installation. There is a line HOMEURL= and it should be:

HOMEURL=http://launcher.neocron.com/

If this is set, and still doesnt work: start your internet explorer (the microsoft one not an alternative) and check whether you can open the URL above. Check also that you have not set "Work offline".

That wasn't the problem, but it starts fine for now. I guess all that was required was a reboot. But thanks.
