Man there are over two hundred fires burnning right now, and there is a subtropical storm just off the coast... Ouch.

Its on the other side of the country by the Pacific Ocean. It borders Mexico.
It is a long state and has some nice cities to visit and some good vineyards. If you want a taste of CA and you cannot visit then buy some wine from your local supermarket.

Storm still off shore, and still no rain. Besided the florida fires is currently bigger than the California fires. I think the largest one is west of where I live in Baker County. eye the smoke... I cannot wait for hurricane season, and this subtropical storm is just squat.
