just give it a day, sometimes it takes a little while for pay by cash to let ReaKKtor (edit: or even reakktor to check) know that you have paid. Meanwhile have a browse at www.techhaven.org (http://www.techhaven.org/) for information on how to play the game, as well as www.nc-wiki.com (http://www.nc-wiki.com/) and the official site at www.neocron.com (http://www.neocron.com/) . If you have any questions - like what class should I play as, what guns are the best etc. then post here and I am sure that some friendly people will help you out :)

On topic: paybycash isnt too bad, I used to do one of my accounts on it, however understand that paybycash isnt fully automated - the only one that is iirc is Click2Pay, however many people have problems with them (I dont... but thats beside the point)

Edit: It is DEFINATELY better than FoMK - Neocron has one of the best communities you will ever find in any MMO on the market!

There are 4 classes in Neocron:
Monks, Spies, Tanks and Private Eyes (PE's)
Each of these has different stat maximums, and are used for different things in game.
Monks are good at PSI, and INT things
Tanks are good at STR things
Spies are good at INT and DEX things
PE's should be able to do a little of everything, but not as good as the other three classes.

Professions is a way of choosing where your initial starting skill points will be placed, and what kind of starting equipment you will have.
Not all classes can be all professions. A monk can not be a Soldier, as they can not reach a very high STR.

If you choose a profession like scientist (researching) for a spy, but later want to just run around killing things, you can do that. The profession is not a hindrance for that.

In game we also have LoM-pills (Loss of Memory), which can be used to remove skillpoints already assigned.
You will loose XP-points when eating LoM's, but they can be gained again.

For a look at professions, go here: http://www.techhaven.org/resources/neocron-info/profession-guides.html

I believe if that is what you want you'll wanna be a Soldier Tank (Profession: Soldier, class: gen-tank)

They're the ones who use nade launchers, rocket launchers, cannons of every form and so on.

That being said i have to tell you that "Professions" aint all that, the only thing choosing a profession does is:
Arange your default skills (Which can be changed to your liking under char. creation)
Determine your starting equipment
Determine your Mr. Jones missions/reward (Jones is a guy who gives you some starter missions so you get to know the city a bit better, and yes, he DOES look like Morpheus from "The Matrix")

Please send a mail to account@neocron.com, you should receive a ticketnumber immediately (if you're not with hotmail and have their spamfilters set to maximum), and the support crew will get back to you ASAP.

As a profession choose "Soldier". Best class suited then is a Gentank.
On starting skills:
INT: all into weaponlore
STR: all into heavy combat
CON: divide them into athletics and health
DEX: put 10 into recycle, the rest into agility

Once you start leveling:
INT: Weaponlore all the way. Tanks can't use tradeskills.
STR: Heavy combat. It mostly determines your damage. Later on, get some resist force and piercing.
CON: For a start, get health and athletics up to 50. From then on you can specc resists. You'll figure out how to do that best later on yourself, otherwise use the help channel.
DEX: Agility for runspeed, hightech combat to use more cannons, a list with guns and t-c needed can be found here: http://www.techhaven.org/db/weapons/heavy
Another important thing is recycling for ammo and boosters and stuff.
You need the same skill in recycling as the ammos techlevel. No need to specc it higher.
A list can be found here: http://www.techhaven.org/db/ammo/ammo

On starting factions, go for a pro city one. I'd suggest tangent, next or protopharm. Those got quite nice epic mission rewards you can get later on.

And once you get to your apt, talk to Mr. Jones. Run his quest, you'll get a nice reward from him.

Hope you'll get the payment issues sorted. And don't worry, NC might be hard to figure out in the beginning but it's definately much better than Face of Mankind. :)
