Thats really lame how they are going to modern warfare, especially if they base it on real life. Americas army is so well equipped and better trained that its a joke to think of it as a fight at all.
On the other hand they have done ww2 to death. Might be alright.

Well. I think that mordern warefare with the CoD feeling will be awesome. And then I like how the insurgents run with the guns scraping in the ground. :D

The trailer is ok, but far away from being awesome.
Let's have a look at the game when it's out. Ingame it will look different, I'm sure. Trailers often look better than the released games.

I thought we were only up to CoD2? And even then they haven't released an expansion. Or have they?
CoD3 is for consoles. And I've heard that it's kinda like CoD2.

anyways. CoD4, not impressed by the trailer much personally. neither am i with the "MODERN" warfare part. If i want to shoot an AK47 ill go to the local gun range imo.

Lol. Much as I find WWI mush more interesting than WWII I can see it being hard to make a game out of it.
I mean you can just imagine it, run around in your trench until you go for a 'Big push'. Hop over the trench and make it 10 feet till you're mown down by Jerry machine guns or artillery along with the other 30,000 soldiers that went with you. And repeat for 4 years :P
That being said though, the fighting on the Eastern front (between the Germans and Russians) wasn't quite as statics, at least to begin with.
Japan vs China would be a pretty good one, both WWII and this modern 'terrorist' threat have been done to death.
On topic however, the trailer was OK, nothing spectacular, but not rubbish. Bit annoyed that it's only on console. Just my opinion, but I think FPS just belong on PC's. :p

That game was so realistic it hurt.
"Bravo squad, run for 2 hours in this direction and assault this village"
2 hours of sitting at your PC trying to get to designated area later...
