[BALANCING CHANGES]
- Bonus System for weapons changed:
- HighTech + 2 % (was 5.0)
- Rare + 7.5 %
- Epic + 8.0 % (was 8.5)
- WoC + 8.0 % (was 10.0)

-> Weapons with Epic- or WoC-status are rebalanced.
-> LowTech-weapons receive an extra 3% to nearly close the gap with HighTech-weapons.
-> Melee-weapons now have the 5% penalty removed. The range penalty is enough disadvantage for that category.
-> Melee-weapons receive a 7.5% bonus to compensate for missing ammo-mods.
-> APU combat keeps the 16% bonus for their general frequency reduction until we fix this.
-> APU combat receives a 4% bonus to compensate for the missing high-tech variations. (lowtech-correction and half of hightech bonus).
-> APU combat receives a 7.5% bonus to compensate for the missing ammo mods.

[PSI]
- Added more tolerance for the line of sight verification of PSI modules
- Fixed a bug involving the saving of temporary effects (i.e. Shields) - selfcast PPU shields should now have their intended strength after zoning.

[COMBATRANK]
- Adjusted the calculations for the different classes to bring them closer together.
- Verification of calculations to prevent ranks of zero.

[HACKNET]
- Fixed a bug that impeded shield or heal in selfcast.
- Line of sight will work better in the Hacknet.
- Reduced the range of Hacknet NPCs (10%) as well as their aggro range.

[MISC]
- Fixed a bug that caused problems with XP in combat vehicles.
- The missing drug effect from nanite activity is back.
- Reduced the range of NPC weapons. This only applies to NPCs that uses normal weapons.
- Fixed the armor values of Genotoxic NPCs. They now only have full protection against fire and poison damage.
- Adjusted the collision verifications, some objects provided more cover than they should have.

[CONTENT]
- Adjusted the "The Hunt for Crossbow" mission. The mission is now repeatable and, like in other WOC missions, the reward is handed out in artifact quality with at least 3 slots.
- Adjusted the "Regants Legacy" mission. Like in other WOC missions, both rewards are now handed out in artifact quality with at least 3 slots.
- Adjusted several NPCs to prevent soullight and sympathy abuse.

Nice patch. :rolleyes: Though this finalizes my statement that my 5 slot Ultimated Beretta is now completely and utterly useless. :(

PS. I was wondering when this was going to be posted, because the shutdown timer started way before the thread was created. :p

What a great patch, this eliminates the problems i had (As i for one dont have a problem with the PvE)

Great, now i just need the servers to come back so i can get ready for the event tormorow.

nice to see the boost to low tech weapons and melee
and finaly a fix for the juggernaut xbow pistol :)
too bad i m stuck with a crappy quality 1 slotter ... guess i ll have to make some time to redo that mission and get a nice one :D

Very nice patch!

Still need to nerf the high tl drones though.. and alot of other stuff is also still needed, but its a very nice patch..

This actually made me happy (patch 161 made me a bit angry..)

I guess it means the rare bonus was 7.5 and still is the same, nothing changed there.

But a 3% bonus reduction to hightech guns should also affect hightech rares and woc guns. I think. Though it might be that those boni do not stack at all. :lol:

Heh, are there actually hightech woc guns?

Weee, I got many melee weps so cheap over the past days due to them being sucky, and now they get a nice boost :cool:

Very nice patch btw, it fixes and adjusts so many things for the better. Keep it up!

I believe it means that a rare hightech will now get a bonus of 7.5+2= 9.5% as opposed to it's old bonus of 7.5+5=12.5%.

Very nice list of fixes, in general.

I am, however, a bit mystified as to why the gap between LowTech & HighTech was made almost non-existent.

To use a decent High-Tech weapon you need to invest at least 175 train-points in T-C ... that's 175 points a LowTech character has free to invest elesewhere.

That seems like more than enough compensation to me.

Takes the piss a bit when you can get almost the same damage (for the same TL), yet still run like the wind and/or drive almost anything and/or recycle half the known universe and/or repair the other half, with no obvious penalty.

I suspect it was that old PE specialisation subskill in action again ... WHN. They've always been expert at that :rolleyes:

shouldnt we get more apu % compensation since there still arent any woc apu / ppu spells ? i mean the way the cast frequency is quite low let me put up a scenario ( PPU see his clan member drop in combat, he pulls out his rezz and starts rezzin . right after the ppu starts the rezz a apu comes out and starts to aim and intend to fire the spell on the ppu . THe ppu finishes his rezz and runs around a corner before the apu finishes his "deathblowing spellcast" )

i guess im a bit ironic about this one :P

but how can rare barrels freq be higher than a single hit spell ? :P BARRELS FOR PVP 4TW

There's actually a bigger gap than this, however.
Because on hitech weapons, there is a greater contribution to damage/freq etc by skills. So with the same say, PC, you would get higher damage% on a hitech than a lowtech. Although thats not to say your point is invalid.

Dunno about the Storages, but what was supposedly wrong with the Bridgelink mobs and the Phoenix CPU ?
They seemed fine to me.

i do believe that with "The range penalty is enough disadvantage for that category." they mean that they are in fact melee weapons without any actual range like a pistol for example. you have to be point blank or close to it to hit something.

bridge: wrong mobs = no loot, barely any mobs at all
cpu: just a joke, easier to kill as a rat
storages: no loot

Let me explain:

MC - LowTech:
+ 5 Percentage to remove the old penalty
+ 3 Percentage to close the gap to hightech weapons
+ 7.5 Percentage to eleminate the disadvantage of missing AmmoMods

If you ask about the rare-bonus:
- LowTech Rare has now 3 % + 7.5 %
- HighTech Rare has now 5 % + 7.5 %

We will make an announcement soon wich makes things like that more understandable (Ok - here (http://forum.neocron.com/showthread.php?p=2069773#post2069773) it is).

are the reticle on barrels gonna stay and if so can u atleast sort it out cos right now its pretty useless to use barrels. if u barrel the ground near a mob u get a so called perfect hit where the barrel lands right under the mob while if u aim the mob and use the barrel it dont get any good dmg area . and if u barrel the ground and the mob steps into it for a milisecond u get a misscast which in some cases might be lethal to urself and your team. cos usually u trow out quite a few barrels and u dont really notice that they are misscasted until its to late.

Great, now the Cool 5-Slot AK and Cool 4-Slot Beretta from the Regant Legacy mission my PPU did solo are completely useless.

Any chance that I could get them exchanged for Artifact versions?

But... imho pve still have some serious issue. And new players will not have fun creating new chars and being oneshotkilled by every single npc.

I just want to take this time to commend KK on such quick patchwork. I'm guessing the reworking of the game mechanics really paid off! :)

I have checked this the last week, i have created a rifle spy and an apu from scratch. Solo leveling works fine for those in area mc5 and the sewers. (where new chars should start to level up) money came in quicker then i needed to buy the next generation of weapons and the mobs were far from beeing to strong. My CON is on both the least developed skill.

Got to check the mid levels still tho.
