When you look at world map, it shows wrong position. For me, its 4 down and 2 right. So i have to just check from my compass and see my zone and then check map. It has been like this since 2.2.

I have got this few times:
From El Farid, my intentions were to zone south, i have just died there, at ceres lab and i was running back. I checked compass and took direction to south. Started running, i zoned fast. I it felt wrong, never zoned that fast. Then i checked zone and i noticed, that i zoned to west. Well thought it was my mistake and continued. It happened again and to my friend also many times yesterday. So im quite sure, that compass is bugged.

on my side, seems it shows wrong position since i'm at 1680x1050 resolution. (and the picture is not scaled).

actually, the el farid map bug is a bit different.

I noticed that sometimes the minimap turns around, as in north becomes east, west becomes north, east becomes south etc. And its been there for as long as nc2 has been :p.

And yes i encountered some difficulties on world map as well during my time in el farid area.

There's quite a few map issues.

Sometimes the map gets turned around or even completely screwed on death, several zones have their minimaps completely wrong (and that since i can remember back in NC1), some places got the compass missing (was a KK bugfix actually: instead of fixing wrong directions they disabled the compass completely, i.e. TH) and the worldmap isn't working correct in several resolutions.

But i can live with that seeing there's other issues that are a lot more important.

I just wish KK would stop developing for a while at some point and rather fix all those small but annoying bugs that are around for ages. Missing or wrong or empty traders, broken epics, broken missions, tons of gfx glitches and item fuckups like apartment entrances in the middle of nowhere, there is so much that should be easy to fix but they simply won't do it. o_O

Oddly enough, in 2.1 I had this problem. But now I don't.

Was running 1024x768, now it's 1280x1024.

I've not had a single problem with maps ever and I use maps all the time because I play a sniper.

When you die and GR back to El Farid ( only GR i have tested ) then the whole sector turns 90 degrees and if yo uwere going south you would go east, etc

Was also doing this in 2.1

i had this prob a few times long long ago shorty after NC2 hit.
but it always went away for me with a relog

could you pst a screeny that demonstrates the issue? or even better, 2 screens in different sectors with factions and security info.
There might be an easy fix.
