View Full Version : Leeds/Reading Festivals....
Anyone going to either of these? Got my tickets for Leeds =D Can't wait. Line up isn't as good as last year, but still worth the entrance fee if you ask me...

Not my cup of tea. I'd rather not have my tent burned down by 14 year old twats.

Too fucking right mate. They should rename them the "commercial festivals" cause that's all they seem to get to play, tossers who care a little too much about appearing on Kerrang and on Hoodies :P

If I lived in the US, I would go to Ozzfest this year just to see Nile. Everything else at that festival can choke on a boner.
If you like real music (i.e: Metal) then Graspop (http://www.graspop.be/pages/extra/bands.php) is also looking good this year.

Holy mother of different sized cheese wheels, I gotta go there
Ok, that graspop does look MUCH better ;) however how the eff did me first and the gimme gimmes end up in there? :P Not that I don't like them!! Just confused lol
Holy closed-mindedness batman, this thread went wrong o.O
I'm sorry, but how the heck is that line up emo? Okay, the Sunday main stage is A BIT emo with FOB, FFAF and lost prophets, as for the other days - Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Maximo Park are not emo AT ALL.
Ah well. I give up on some people in this forum :P
Yes, but they can be not Emo and still shit.

To metal heads, if it's pop, and it's not rap or Britney Spears and her ilk, it's emo.

I'd have to agree. Very guilty of that :P But I <3 hard rock/metal/punk (real punk not that blink182/greenday shite!) I'd have to go one step further though, (and I 100% blame the angry Scottish husband for this reasoning) and say, if it's not metal, hard rock, classic rock, or real punk it's pop, and if it's not pop it's emo :P
(but then again this is the only concert I've considered going to in a while:
Heaven and Hell Tour 2007
HEAVEN AND HELL / MEGADETH / MACHINE HEAD)

...Wouldn't it be easier to say "If it didn't require drugs to make it wasn't worth it."
