Ok so some devs know endless ages you guys had your fight years ago on who was first fps mmorpg or w/e...

Anyways thats not the point endless ages was good till they went gold and then they came out with there new towns and areas..

They sold game to new company that ruined so bad the game had like 10-30 players online max..

Anyways there new name is Phylon. It has more bugs then the old game and using same engine like nothings changed its just a pile of crap..

But look what it looks like on fileplanet.

Why can't we advertise like them? I think the community or maybe just me would like hear what your going to do this round for advertisement. One reasons and only reasons I keep quiting neocron was do to the low population.

Thanks

KK has very limited say in it's advertising, as that's down to it's publisher, 10T.

However you're right, we keep saying this over and over, we need more advertising for NC, especially on mmo sites and webcomics.

Yeah I don't understand.. I mean they could easily get on so many sites without putting a dim they can send out packages and such.. Once month have a cool update to the game nothing to over done but send in a news to the pop and un pop even mmorpg sites.

I could think of 100% things they could do. Only if they spend time or find someone in the company whos got spare time to do it. Hell I made a mmorpg with few friends ages ago.. Only got to alpha stage but got few zones done no models yet. Anyways it was on the front site of mmorpg.com same with the game in the list. I asked them months later when project was abandon to take it down. But this just shows u a bit effort can get you a long way.

The game is far from ready to receive a possible future influx of new players. It is still very n00b unfriendly, way more than 2.1 was: just imagine you entering the whatever grace period they give you to try the game. What char would you play?
Fix the game, stabilize it and then go for an ad rampage. It is pitty not too, especially with so much rubbish out there

As jini said, advertise after 2.2 is playable. Until then, it's a complete waste of time. You would only get to "bug" newbies only for the 5mins they actually stay logged in, because as you'll soon notice, when the free time runs out, the population will dip to even less than what it was in 2.1. Who wants to pay for Neocron in its current state apart from the people who have remained loyal subscribes for many years? I personally won't, even though I'm loyal to the cause.

Once this freetime is over, Reakktor should continue to concentrate on making things playable and balanced while at the same time making everything as fun as it was in 2.1. So far the 'fun' part is generally missing. Once that is achieved they should most definitely give out another 30 days worth free playing time to make people return again and experience what 2.2 should have been. Hopefully they'll then stick around.

Currently 2.2 going retail has been a shambles compared to 2.1, and in 2.1 there were rollbacks and a devastating reload problem, so that says quite a statement about 2.2. It wasn't and still isn't at "retail" quality, but there's nothing we can do about that now.

Neocron has always been lucky in that it's the only true cyberpunk MMOrpG on the market, but that fact shouldn't be used as an excuse for retail patches/updates of such poor quality to be tolerated. :(

i wonder if anyone from kk actually plays the game themselves....if they could make an experimental "squad" or something and just play like the rest of us.....im sure they would start seeing the true colors here.

Haha.

Anyway, if it's up to 10 tacel (which doesn't seem to do any advertising at all?) I suggest that we, the remaining playerbase, advertise Neocron for them if we want to see a real change - and of course only after 2.2 is done.

Talking of fileplanet and such, Neocron 2.2 Client is up on the featured items on the front page of Fileplanet.

BUT! Oh my this is a BIG but!

Where on earth in the infomation about Neocron... is any infomation about what Neocron actually is..?

It should be saying that its an FPS MMORPG at least.... but no... "Get ready for a free ride through the world of the 28th century" Is far more important than infomation as to what the game is...

^^ Yea, and if you were to ask them why, i'm sure it's 'Not they're responsibility'.

*sigh*
