I heard rumours this was in development several years ago but hadnt heard anything on the situatin as it stood. somehow i was a little bored today on the pc and looked on gamespot for the first time in about 3 years. Oh my god. I'm stunned. This game looks amazing. It plays like an FPS (cs style apparantly) and looks amazing. Supposed release is q2 in the US. Its not gonna be for the full blown shadowrun fans (ie the rp enthusiasts) but for people who love it all the same and loved the snes version (i am jake armitage irl :P) then im definitely getting it. Check out the official trailer on there for an idea of how it looks.

PS dont be dissappointed its by microsoft :)

It is a CS style FPS ..hence so many people are hugely disappointed. :rolleyes:
It is like CS 1.6 with some mods... and has totally nothing to do with anything thats special about Shadowrun. None of the athmosphere, the depth, the story or artwork. It looks like a bad pixar movie combined with uninspired multiplayer fps ...they've done well in crippling a good brand's value.

Probably uses dx10, which won't be availiable on anything but Vista (afaik).

From what I've seen of it it looks like a good FPS game.

However i think it shames the "Shadowrun" name by having such a weak "RPG" element and you dont really get much of the whole "Shadowrun" feel from it.

But a solid FPS, but it should have gone under another name.

First of all it is a VIsta only game, and second they game will run alot like Enemy Territoy more then say Counter-Strike. At least that is my impression of the game from what I have read about it. it still looks sweet though, and once i get Vista along with a DX 10 video card I will play that game, but that most likely will not be for quite a while so i am not to worried about it yet.
