NC2 - Christmas Party
We are planning a Christmas Party in Neocron2 for the 23rd December 2006.
It will start at 8pm GMT - until very late! The server will be Mercury, and the party will be in TechHaven Sector 2.
So if you don’t play on Mercury usually, please create a new character.
There will be entrances in Neocron, Military Base and Dome of York, so every Newbie will be able to come to TechHaven Sector 2.
The language will be mixed at this evening, so please use only local and ZoneChat.
At this evening is being planned:
- A great tombola with high prizes (More information will be announced at the party)
- A Christmas Neocron Song contest! (Please see the rules below)
TechHaven will be prepared for this event with special stuff. All Troublemakers will be removed. Please try to sit down when we will announce the start of the tombola or song contest. These parts will be only on zonechat, so please keep it free and turned on.

The text of your Christmas song should be connect to Neocron2 and fit to a real Christmas song (Of course very well known if possible).
You need a minimum of 8 lines, which should fit each other.
Please send in the lyrics (And your Character/Account name) of your Christmas Neocron2 Song to contest@reakktor.info.
I will post all lyrics with character names on a special webpage (so you can print or switch to it) on the afternoon of 23.12.06.
Then you have to perform your song at the party! (You are not allowed to change the text after sending it in!).
The runners have to vote for the song via zonechat and we will collect the points.
The vote should be for the song itself and for the performance of it.
The first 3 winners will get the follow prices:
1.) Copbot Trophy or golden cup
2.) Master Hunter Trophy of your choice or silver cup
3.) Normal Trophy of your choice (no Master/Copbot) or bronze cup
Rules:
- Only the runners can take part, who are at the party and can perform their song.
- Only one account / character per runner allowed
- Only lyrics which are based or fitted to Neocron can take part
Hope to get many lyrics from you!

Yes, you can notice me 1 character on your server, which will get the item then laters at a seperate date.

The prizes are probably a surprise, like they usually are in a tombola. :lol: You're allowed to transfer one character to Mercury as was mentioned, no idea how you would buy a ticket though, probably via DM. They said they'll be giving more information on that when it happens.

It was me who did the censoring :p, but it appears someone edited my post back to its original (removing the *beep* as well) several hours after I added the quote that would stop moderators having a reason to use it as an offensive insult type post about you (if I were a cat one would say I'm on my ninth life and wanting to avoid being given a permanent walloping :rolleyes:).

I might not have mentioned it that specifically but it's only the accent I don't like,
I've met plenty of Scousers who have accents that are difficult to listen to and then there are those who seem to make an effort to REALLY emphasise the accent, which sounds terrible. Sadly, anytime there seems to be someone from Liverpool on TV (gameshow contestant, innocent bystander on the news etc) they tend to sport either of these annoying shades of scouse,and on top of that usually say something fucking stupid and/or retarded. Perhaps I expect a little too much from my city folk?

99% sure TH on Merc is now down. can login on chars in other zones, as soon as you enter TH you get perma sync / black screen.

Ok, atm no one can login in TH2, if a move is needed write a ticket on another character please (don't forget to announce the character name in the ticket!).
I´ll rethink and make another contests after Christmas for the promised items, and the song contest will stay of course. Please dont be disappointed, we will do it later - I promise.

When Niddy Stole Christmas
Santa Claus was going around Neocron spreading Christmas cheer
He gave the runners of Neocron home girls, drugs and beer
But Niddy the moderator was feeling mighty mean
He boycotted Santa’s sleigh and kicked him in the spleen
“Listen you jolly fat bastard you’re annoying so I’ve banned you
You can’t go around giving free stuff so I’m banning Christmas too!”
He set fire to his reindeer, and enforced KK’s “no more elves”
He then cut down the Christmas trees and made them into timber shelves
He then produced his hammer and delivered upon runners his wrath
The happy Christmas we all knew was now a big blood bath
“Please Niddy spare the face and crotch” the runners all did cry
“Nah I want you to feel the pain and suffering” Niddy quickly did reply
When every one had been replicated and distilled with fear

Any news on this or are things still being replanned? Or have I just missed it altogether??? 8|
We are re-planning it a bit different for every server, but later because of some other issues. I´ll post a new announcement for it and unstick this one.
