Xbow Tech problem -

Ok... from alot of problems.

Ive found this -


My PC freezes for a MS when i get hit by Xbow, and sometimes when i hit them with Xbow -

This causes me a problem as my main recently went Xbow.... Xbow v Xbow means i spend more time paused that winning :) -

If i Disable sound effects the problem goes away, so its deffinetly a sound effect issues .


Tried drivers, cant find ANY drivers forg SigmaTel apart from the ones i have installed.

My Q is how to i REMOVE the Xbow sound, apart from disabling my whole SFX.

I don't get any issues with fps from the xbow, the only problem it causes me is that as a 1st person user, my screen goes white when it hits me.

1.4 athlon, radeon 9500pro softmodded to 9700pro, omega drivers and onboard sfx.

I have the problem too. I could disable xbow sound but i'd need KK to say that i'm allowed to first

I know there was the same issue with copbots shooting people, your framerate dropped instantly whenever they fired. Maybe the same issue here? *tries to get attention from Reakktor*

Im using mobo's sound card is it maybe this the fault?

many people do have this problem

fix:

Start -> execute -> type dxdiag and press enter -> klick the Sound tab -> set Hardware Acceleration to minimal acceleration.

no problem, just costs a liberator and wyatt earp on terra :)

Well you shouldn't need to change your hardware settings tbh, reakktor should fix the issue instead! You need that hardware acceleration things in other games, trust me ;)

About the xbow sound itself, is it normal that when a shot of my xbow hits i can hear the xbow hitting but also some kind of explosion sound every time. Is that normal? Or is my NC borked? Because i cant really remember hearing that explosion sound. :confused:
