Anyone know any good programs for your computer for telling you if anything's wrong?

My FPS ain't been too great these days :(

I have a Geforce 7800 GS 512MB (Limited edition 1000 in the WHOLE World !)
2GB RAM
2.8 P4 Ghz Processor

Since I got my card, I have noticed my FPS ain't great...

A little while ago, I only had 1GB Ram, my friend showed me to diskeeper (defrag program) and showed me a 30 day trial of McAfee.
Worked wonders !

CS Source stress test which used to give me 57.90 FPS average, got me 79.90!

I then bought BF 2142 and decided to get another 1GB of Ram because of the laggy Titan Battles.

I now get an average of 67.10 FPS on the CS S stress test... I get 30FPS on titan battles with ALL settings on Low !
I get 15 FPS once the titans start moving because of the bastard commanders.

I found I only had 121MB left on my C drive ( YES 121MB)

I had a clear out of old shitty games and got me 24.1 GB ! weeeeey !

Did some more defragging me larkey but still ain't got me a great FPS :(

Can someone help ?

Did you just get a new stick or buy a new set? If the former, was it the same make and model?

You could be having trouble because your RAM might not be working properly if two different types are together.

if youve never done it, Run -> %temp% -> DELETE IT ALL.

I did that the other day for the first time in 4 years, cleared 2 gigs of SHIT off my PC. and like DJ said check your ram compatibility.

I have 2x 256mb (unknown...) 1x 512 (crutial) 1x 1GB (crutial)

Take that unknown shit out.

Leave the crucial in.

Trust me. You would think that 2gb is better than 1.5gb. But 1gb of matching RAM is perfectly fine for even the fastest games. When you start mish-mashing different brands of RAM you fuck things up in the long run.

whenyou installed your card, you put all your drivers in, when you put bf2142 on your system, did you reinstall dx again ?
might wanna try reinstalling/updating gfx card drivers

(edit) er what version of the card you got ? just the LE 1000 made thing doesent sound right for a 7800, considering gainward are pumping them out like smarties

before I took the RAM out, I got 57.80...

edit// stress test just gave me 61.01 :( now 66.10 :(

Do you clone the picture to TV out or something like that?

That normaly cuts half of your fps, so if you use a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz (do you?) only about 60 would be left.

I use 2 monitors- CS source was only seen in one.
