Looking at their Harassment Policy I would have thought that would come under 'Harassing or Defamatory' rather than 'Obscene/Vulgar'. That page states you should only get a warning. You had other offenses then?

yeah unreal.I had other offense to.I got killed in a duel,A guy constanly potted in the duel everytime he got down to 100 health,and i got pissed and called him a son of a bitch
WoW is for 11 year olds. get along with it. there's plenty of mmogs for 16 year olds, and even for adults. so have fun in nc.

And.....also my best mate plays WoW (Neocron is to complex for him O_o) and he told me that he paged a GM and that he is going to get a person banned for stealing all the loot in a raid when he dont need it.....dont worry we did slap him multiple times

I started WoW a few months ago and didnt realize that such young people played it. I teamed with this dude and we were running around and he kept asking me all these stupid questions like "where do you live" and "how old are you" and shit. He also couldnt manage to coordinate to keep up and actually engage in combat with anything with me.
To make a long story short, the kid turns out to be 12 and to this day sends me messages from all over the map looking to team up. And if i ignore him, he creates a new account and messages me with "WHY DID U BAN ME????"
eh, good game, but the people suck.
Eh? Even a blind boy with no fingers could keep up with the "combat" in WoW.

Yah, i wonder the same. The amount of complete assholes in wow is insane.
The whole game is so goddamn boring. Like up to 20 its fun to play a class, then it gets so boring because you wont really get anything new until you hit 60, just stronger spells or attacks or shit and then you start the real grind.
I gotta admit i occasionaly play warsong battles on a mates account when NC is dead. He got a decent lvl 19 warrior. And its so much fun to destroy all those people who have absolutely no clue about pvping. :lol:

Yep, and it's pretty much impossible to do anything in lvl 10-19 pvp if you are not twinked.
So i took a lvl 6 char, started out with 10g and ended up with 200 pretty fast. There actually is a good thing about so many damn stupip people playing wow, it's so easy to just trade items making loads of money.
WoW players are complete dushbags,I cant belive some people think i shouldve got banned from it.There forums are so fucked up.
Ive also come across a few ppl who play WoW, actually 3 of them were in my class at the college i attended recently, and besides from one guy the other ones were like totally childish, even though they were 17-20 yrs old, and this one guy who stood out from the crowd is 21 afaik.
He is also very annoyed with all the kids in WoW comming to him asking for money, and he goes like "I dont have any", then the kid starts babbling on, saying "But youre lvl 60?!?" and he just doesnt take no for an answer, finally my friend decides to put him on ignore, then a few mins later this new chr comes to him asking "Why r u ignoring my alt?". ROFL
I just read some of the posts from the link to that WoW forum, and tbh i was totally stunned, stunned because of all those defenders og politically correctnes, and imo blizzard is totally outta line here.

The whole case to me is just another piece of evidence to add to the collection of why one shd not support a game like WoW.
I believe i in another thread described WoW as a playpen in a supermarket, i remember when i was a lil kid some warehouses where i live had these playgrounds where the parents would "park" their kids while they went shopping, the more i get to know about WoW, the more i see it as that playpen/playground.
Its a carebear world full of spoiled kids that (like infants), cant see beyond their own nosetip, and frankly doesnt care about anyone but themself, like nothing is never unfair until the scene turns 180 degrees. :lol:
The look of WoW in game i think says it all, i mean what can one expect from a game that looks like the only thing missing is the "mickey mouse"-logo in the bottom left corner? LMAO
Maybe the point in WoW actually was to create a playpen where children can play a game thats like the ones adults play, but its kinda been wrapped into this child-friendly skin and next blizzrd is trying their best to do the same about the language and behaviour in game, by implementing child-friendly features, like the "Bind On Pickup" or "Bind On Equip" thats typycal what children defines as being "fair", on a playground children often goes "I found it first, so it belongs to me forever" and so on... ;)
Regarding threadstarter being banned, i can say that i think u were treated really unfair seen from a real world point of view and yet, the dudes in the WoW forum have a point, because if it says in the manual or whatever u cant do or say something and it also says itll have consequences if u do, well u kinda ask for it by breaking the rules.
Personally i think its unfair, simple as that..
But dont waste anymore time in WoW, see it as the oppertunity to seek higher goals. :D

Going by his post history over there, it doesn't surprise he was banned for swearing. Also worth nothing is how lax the rules of conduct generally are - a lot more flexible than here, due to the older age rating on Neocron - but it beggars belief how he feels the attitude he has in one game could carry over to this one without issue.

I did play wow for a bit and i did do a fair bit of pking, but it's no fun killing people by auto targetting and waiting for your spell to cast. WoW is about raiding/questing/lvling, that's what it's built for, and that's not something that i would want to spend my time doing.

When I played WoW, I would refuse to join a guild that had any members below the age of 18, this dramatically cut down interaction with kids who saw the game as a virtual cartoon :wtf: Adult only guilds ftw.
