Heya, posted in another thread, then thought sod it, went and took a screenshot.

been working on all of my window edges and sofar its all going well, but this parts seriously gettin on my nerves cause i just cant figuer out which part of the RPOS file it pulls the border from.

when i have my chat box at its normal size, its perfect, if i drag it out horizontally, it stretches fine, however when i make the box taller, the right side stretches ok, however the left side gets the bug in the pic below.

anyone know which part of the rpos bpm it pulls that part from ?

nobody knows ?

ive looked through the german forums, and from what i can see in the screenshots, its like everyone is getting that same glitch there where the alpha makes it black slightly over the edge, and it breaks the outside of the box when you make it higher...

There's an unintuitive, but simple answer ... the `active area` window doesn't have a straight vertical edge on that side.
The middle part of the left border *is* actually indented a little. The "automagic autostretch" part starts in that indented section.
(It gave me a headache for a while too, when I was chopping the frilly shit off my RPOS at the start of NC2 ;))

If you look at my screenies in http://neocron.jafc.de/showthread.php?t=136225 you can see it working.

Edit:
Here's sections from my rpos_01 & alpha to try and demonstrate what I mean better.

yea i see ya there but basically all youve done is taken the extra shite off the edges and left the majority of the RPOS the same, im trying to straighten that out, however i cant find out which part of the RPOS bmp's it pulls the extendedline from :|

if you drag it out horizontally it pulls the extra from the big block at the top of the bmp, i cant figure out which part it takes it from when you extend it vertically ... which is why when i extend my chatbox upwards it breaks the edge of the box as you can see in the picture in the first post, where is it on the bmp's that you edit it to show the line i want there to extend the box and keep it all complete
from what ive seen in the screenshots on the german forums (without knowing what the hell their saying) they all have this same problem too when editing the shape of the box and squaring it off instaed of just keeping the side the same as the default NC2 rpos like yours

That's just it ... you *can't* straighten it out completely, because the actual UI object window that the bitmap overlays onto isn't a uniform rectangle.

The `extensible` bit isn't in line with the rest of the left edge of the UI drawn window.

Edit:

If you look at this screenshot from Amox in the German section you can see he has removed virtually all the overlay, just leaving the gamma mask behind. You can see the actual naked shape of the UI drawn window.
Note how the left side of the chatbox is not a continuous straight line.
