I wanted to take a look in and see how things are with Neocron, and I reactivated. Realising that it was my old creditcard (now expired) on click2pay, i went there and added my new card. Now the trouble started.

I cannot delete the old card nor make the new card the main card from the interface. I sent them a mail regarding this problem on the 21st about it. I get a reply on the 29th... thats 8 days. 8 days to reply to my mail? Are you kidding me? But thats not all... I read the mail... and heres how it goes:

> Dear Mr xxx,
>
> Thank you for contacting the CLICK2PAY Service Team.
>
> Unfortunately, we cannot change your default payment method to your newly
> registered credit card yet. In order to be able to do so we kindly ask you
> to send us a copy of the front of your newly registered card.
>
> You may either fax the copy to 011 49 30 300 110 xxx or reply to this
> email and attach the scanned image of the card.
>
> We will change your default payment method after we have received and
> verified the copy.
>
> Thank you for your understanding!

Seriously? I basically wrote an answer stating that they could try all they want to get money from the old expired card or accept the fact i contacted them about my new card. That its the same name on both cards dont seem to make any impression on them... :wtf:

If they dont do that, I'm never coming back. Period. And take a guess if others will if they face this when attempting to reactivate... The sooner you get a solution to the payment method the better, i just cant believe that people still have to face click2pay since the release of NC2...

Same here. I was going to activate at least one of my old accounts, but if I have to do that I won't bother. I can change my credit cards on all other internet payment sites I use, so what is their problem.

Cya when C2P is gone or fixed.

Why not use a bank card with pbc?

Make sure you tell them the card is for use with Neocron. C2P have a lower level of checking for us. Also, please contact account@neocron.com and ask them to assist.

Absolutely. We've arranged a deal with a third payment provider which we hope will go live with the release of NC 2.2.

Praetorian failing the e-mailing option, find a phone number on their website and phone them through skype (or a land line). Then keep phoning them until it gets fixed - 15 mins on the phone and my accounts worked ;)

i was also about to return and pay a new sunscription, however click2pay are a nightmare, and i dont beleive i should have to go through the 2 week ordeal just to pay to play a game, i am very suprised KK have not made available at the very least paypal subscriptions,, it is very easy to integrate to the neocron account site !!

i will come back as soon as an alternative payment is made available,, PBC i have tried everywhere to get,,

Same. So long as you're talking to them via phone... Things usually get taken care of quickly.

I've had a similar problem, I tried to change payment cards via email first, I didn't get a reply so I phoned them a few days later and said I wanted to change the payment card for my Neocron game account. We went and got it sorted and she said the account will be ready within 2-3 minutes. It wasn't ready. I don't understand what could have gone so wrong within that 2-3 minutes that could stop me logging in?
I waited a day or so and emailed KK support on Sunday, I didn't get a reply from them on the matter until I PM'd Odin, 1 day 4 hours later after I sent the support email (I don't mind about the delay at all, given it was a Sunday) he emailed back saying that the account remains closed on C2P's side and he's told them to contact me.

Well, guess what? They haven't contacted me yet. This was 24 hours ago they were told. Looks like I'll have to phone back.

Not been able to log in since Thursday.

I had a similar problem except my card wasn't even accepted as a payment method in the first place.

E-mailing c2p & account@neocron.com (with the latter even forwarding my emails on with a cover letter for c2p to see) resulted in being totally ignored for an entire month. When they finally replied (only to account, mind you) they actually lied through their teeth and said they'd been in contact with me regarding the issue!

Trying by phone just resulted in headache and, after twenty minutes, a recommendation that I "try using e-mail to resolve the issue"

Upon hearing those two hilariously untrue & frankly childish statements, I went through pbc/paypoint - reactivated in 5 mins!

N

I am glad you got a deal with the third payment provider. What concerns me is you saying "which we hope will go live"

Serriously in KK someone needs to say "It must go live with the release of NC 2.2" Getting the thrid payment system working before the NC2.2 release would be just as welcome better, since there are players who are happy to want to play NC2.1.

I want to pay by credit card for 2 accounts. Click2Pay stuffed up the details on my updated credit card (wouldn't have happened if they allowed users to edit their own details). Click2pay created the problem on 8th October, didn't inform me there was a problem (I discovered that when my accounts were cancelled). Click2Pay don't want to communicate, let alone actually fix the problem.

I have given up - they have lost another customer for Reakktor.

PayByCash is not an option - it is too expensive (it would end up costing me almost double to go through them, and I am on a very limited income).

REAKKTOR, why wait to get a 3rd payment method running, when Click2Pay are losing you customers so rapidly? Get PayPal now.

Here's a copy of the emails sent between me/nc2/click2pay (latest at top -oldest at bottom).

Mr Broadbent,

You stated, "Our system should recognise the registration of your credit card if you register another CLICK2PAY Account through the NEOCRON website."

It doesn't. I have tried again (using yet another email address). Still gives "invalid credit card number".

I give up. Congratulations on losing Reakktor another customer.

Click2Pay have to be the most incompetent, inept, inefficient company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I look forward to not dealing with you ever again.

Under Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament, section VII, article 14, I hereby state my objection to any information pertaining to me being disclosed to any third parties for any reason or used by any parties for the purposes of direct marketing. REAKKTOR, why wait to get a 3rd payment method running, when Click2Pay are losing you customers so rapidly? Get PayPal now.

The new payment method is most probably from what we have heard, not Paypal but Worldpay (KK mention negotiations with RBS, who are the backers/owners of Worldpay). Paypal would quite possibly have the same problem as PayByCash - being more expensive as they charge quite harsh fees. (that said, worldpay must take a cut somewhere too). Its actually not entirley impossible for KK to take card payments direct you would have thought, although it would probaby mean them employing more staff.

I had a small problem like that my old card was still in there system when i tryed to reactive. So i called them and yelled at them the guy fixed it. told me the account will be ready to be used in 24hours. I think i got lucky when i called someone that knew what they were doing. I got 4 friends that quit WoW to play neocron now they cant cuz of c2p. Its sad that C2P is losing KK's money.

Its actually not entirley impossible for KK to take card payments direct you would have thought, although it would probaby mean them employing more staff.
I accept that WorldPay would be better than Click2Pay (nothing could be worse). I don't see that WorldPay is better than PayPal (and it definitely would cost Reakktor more to use).

WorldPay have Setup Fee, Annual Charge, Transaction Service Charge, plus "In addition to these charges, you will pay for other service charges on your account, such as settlement of transaction funds to your bank account, payment in additional currencies and chargebacks". They don't publish what any of those fees or charges or percentages are.

It is VERY easy to set up a PayPal Merchant account. Heck, they have one to accept credit cards and bank transfers online, with no setup fees, no monthly fees, and 1.9%-2.9% + 30c US per transaction. I would gladly have that 2.9% + 30c US added to my subs if it meant I could actually pay for the game. It is MUCH cheaper than what PayByCash want to charge me (and the bank fees I would incur for using them).

One person could set up a PayPal "Website Payments Standard" merchant account and would probably only need to work a couple of hours per week maintaining it. http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_merchant-outside I know of one individual who runs a MMOG from his garage in Texas who has been using this method successfully for years. Admittedly, his customer base is ony around 500 people (unlike Neocron2?).

I can and do pay for other games, software, all sorts of stuff with my credit card using my PayPal account.

Personally, my needs are quite simple: I want to be able to pay for this game using my credit card, very soon - not in 2 months or 6 months time (I may have completely given up and found something else to play by then). I am willing to have 3% added to my subs to cover transaction fees. I don't want to be forced to access payment methods through a site that jerks me round or costs me more.

Sorry if this sounds like an advert for PayPal. I am just one of their very happy (non-merchant) customers and see them as a quick, efficient, cost-effective method for Reakktor to retain the customers that Click2Pay has lost (and those it has yet to lose them).

Two things... a lot of people have a low opinion of PayPal, and I think KK went with Paypal a while ago but dropped them. Not sure on that last one.

Out of interest, define 'while'.

Points about Paypal and their costs taken.
I'm sure KK have their reasons.
Its also worth remembering the ties involved with C2P.
Reakktor Media GMBH (Aka KK, the makers and operators of Neocron) are a wholly owned subsidiary of 10Tacle Studios AG. Click2Pay hold a substantial (I seem to think it is about 1/3) stake in 10Tacle. So this always complicates things somewhat.

Honestly, just because one is a stakeholder, can you order a company to use only your products?

Doesn't that reek of something?

It probably seemed a good idea at the time.
"Hey guys, you need an online pay method - one of our investors is that and can help you out! Cheap deal because of their investment too!"
And I don't believe that its an especially unusal business practice - I'm pretty sure various manufactorers have purchased shares in retail chains to ensure better distribution for their product over rivals in the past.

Click2Pay have finally deleted my account with them. That leaves me two choices;
1. Try PayByCash - and pay a lot extra.
2. Wait for Reakktor to implement their "new" payment method (my cries for PayPal seem to have fallen on deaf ears).

As Reakktor are probably too busy with all the "issues" surrounding the test server, it seems I will have to pay through the nose to PayByCash for Click2Pay's incompetence.

Imagine my delight when going through the launcher to reactivate an account with PayByCash when I saw that they stated "Neocron2 has authorized PayByCash to process alternate payment options" and "Suggest a Payment Method! Click here" (see attachment #1) Great, thought I, I can suggest to PayByCash that they accept PayPal (like they allegedly do for some other games).

So, I did click there. All I got was a time-out message (see attachment #2). I tried this at least 5 times, going through the process as fast as I could. To no avail.

That dampened my newly found (grudging) enthusiasm for using PayByCash.

I guess it is safe to bet that they have had zero suggestions so far and will report such to Reakktor as evidence that no "alternate payment methods" are required.

I really do wish Reakktor could find decent payment system providor, I am sick of these shonky shits.

Trying to activate my account too but it appears Click2Pay arent answering my emails. They have to be the worst payment provider I have ever encountered.

I'll wait for the new payment option.

It's weird though. I used to sign up on C2P with an "e-card" which is basically a randomly generated CC number connected to mastercard. I can generate how many I want and decide how much money I should have on the card and if the card is going to be used more than once etc.

Anyway, I've always generated a new card to pay NC2 with and I didn't have any problems adding the new card and email them to reactivate Neocron 2 for me on a 6 month subscription. Not played NC2 since the middle of july, has something changed thereafter?

It will be literally impossible to send them a photocopy of my new creditcard if I use a digital card :wtf:.

I could send them a screenshot - lolzzzzzz....
