I don't think I've ever fully seen the thing, yet for some reason I really like everything I know about it, which is odd.
Just bought uplink over steam, but I have Darwinia boxed which is a beautiful piece of art, if not a perfect game.

Wargames was never edgy... it was a depiction of the power and danger of computers at a time when few people even knew what a computer was. And thanks for reminding me... I gotta get it on dvd. :D

If you are a Broderick fan also check out Ladyhawke... maybe a bit cheesy for most people's tastes but still a good watch.
