What I miss the most though is the atmosphere when standing in plaza 1, just
lomming / trading / whatever, and there is a bunch of people standing around
doing the same and in the background you can hear those annoncements. I
can't really remember the phrases right now, but it was like voice-ads etc.

The old HUD didn't creep halfway across the screen. The new one sticks out too much and its unnecessary. The old one was nice and flat. The new one does look good but the sticky out bits piss me off. Take out the blocky-sticky-outedness and I'll be a happy runner. :)

It's odd... apart from a couple of instances, events and things... I remember little of NC1, it all kinda went past in a blurr.
I can't remember when I joined TCO, when the higher level people in TCO created Skulls before TCO collapsed, when the alliance wars were.
It's wierd and kinda depressing.

I loved it when their armour was broken, TCO used to spend hours around tescom killing those things :D.

I think the best thing about the early days was NOONE knew how to level or what resists did or pretty much anything else that we all spend hours refining. It was a great achievement to get a * where your rank was displayed (and no numbers, just the *)

Aggressors dropped gat pistols that sold for 1-3k, 2 slots on your gun was enough you were gonna drop it within 24 hours anyways, the bugs omg the bugs... every week there was a new exploit. :lol:

NC2.1 would be far better than NC1 if it had the same pops. Then again, a lot of the people left because they got banned for cheating, or their friends got banned. I just hope 2.2 is good :D

Ok just to clarify the situation...

Bugs that were in NC1 that aren't in NC2:

A good number of dupe bugs
Scrambled inventories (for the most part)
Random zonings (you zone and go somewhere else entirely)
Weapon damage bugs (fuck yeah!)
Uber hybrids (rememeber the unkillable monks?)
Vehicles were far far worse when trying to zone
FREs are way less frequent

Erm a lot of database irregularities have been fixed also... though they still happen. Losing inv/gogu/apt cabs/etc was quite common in NC1.

a Clan member had his GoGo Magically Duped lol

To a Differnet clan member... weird

BUT - The only real thing was Quad keys - 2 keys same quad ^^ -

You do randomly double zone and go into some1's appartment -

The GoGo Thing shows the item database still fucks -

At least someone here isn't as rose tinted as the others. Too many people saying 'omg NC1 was teh pwn' when... no.. not really, tank-o-cron.. the hybrids of doom, spirit SHs and all the bugs that have since been got rid of.

Yes; Bar PPUs/spirit, balance at the end of NC1 was very good, but hopefully we should get it back in a while.
