What sort of reqs does fear have?
My comp will run HL2... just...
If you can play HL2 you should be able to run Fear with low/medium settings.

i could play HL2 on highest details
on lowest details Fear runs at max 20fps
playable .. but not much fun

That gfx card is why... with a better one you would have a great system for Fear.

Here's a couple more in a similar vein, including my old mate the Alpha Wolf. We may not be the latest and greatest when it comes to graphics engines, but we have a style that's undeniably ours. ;)

just finished fear SP a while back.. my computers as lame as it gets and I played fine on low settings. good game, worth playing.
neocron wouldnt be the same in a new fancy graphics engine really, but I do wonder why games like FEAR run better on my POS then the ancient NC engine.

There's some parts (like when the room goes ablaze with funky shit everywhere.. and those fucking things that come out of portals) that might require med/high settings.

Both cpu makers and gfx card makers add new features to their cards every generation. An old game just doesn't run as efficiently as a new one unless your comp is way over spec. NC's engine never was particularly efficient anyways...

I certainly had "holy shit" moments, but I haven't played in on med/high so I don't have anything to compare it to. I also started playing at 2am in the dark not knowing anything about the game. I still have nightmares about those invisible ninja things. Even on low things looked very good, and I felt I got the experience, but again nothing to compare it too.

The framerate in MW plagued me... slowly I upgraded and it got better. Now if only I could get SS2 running on my XP... AA, AF, the models some dude did... :/ edit: Don't suggest anything, I tried every SS2 FAQ known to man...

I wish vegetation was forced, get a new graphics card if it kills your framerate... Lots of games recently have demanded up to date hardware. I think the vegetation is great but I had to turn it off to compete... not if everyone had to play with veg on, it wouldn't be an issue. (Yes I get fine framerates with veg on)

Its ok saying, bla bla force it - BUT , PVP in Veg i stupid - Ive changed my system setup i get 20 fps in grass now . But i had 4 - FOUR dam FPS in all grass.....
Thats some stupid shit - And my PC is way way above min specs -
Forced grass as been on since Evo 2.1 when they removed ingame Gamma Correction - And all that did is piss people with ATI of, until they install powerstrip :)

ATI was at the Gamma Part -
With ATI if you change your gamma in windows, NC2 changes it upon launch -
even if you alt tab in and out of game it resets gamma to XX Whatever you guys set it to -
BUT for some reason Nvidea constently forces the gramma to be corrected to any level you set it to -
Basically Night vision lol ...

Gamma Booster pro has hotkeys so ATI users can change gamma and force it to change INGAME.

btw. that dam CS:S Gamefreak , i only play CS 1.6, but i got amazing fucking pissed off with that game because of the amount of cheaters.
Aimbot isnt that bad because its obvious and i can ban them :)
ESP is annoying because its fucking hard to prove
