Probably some old news for some but I just saw a teaser trailer, it's prerendered but with the game models so it should look about the same... Anyway, the game... they've ruined the teamfortress spirit. Now it's just big guys looking like rednecks and with a lot of humor, when I looked at it, it looked like a typical game from Team 17...

Hmm yeah, I must admit it looks more humorous and all but that game should be released under another name :/. Team Fortress involves military, these guys look like rednecks coming straight from texas and the spy *shrugs* looks a lot like Scorpius from the Farscape serie/movie.

Yeah, I seriously doubt that the characters will look like that (or even with reduced poly versions of that). It's just the TF2 teaser and I think Valve are going for "different" with that one. Nicely animated intro tho and looks hellova lot better using the bink format on steam...

Originally TF2 looked much like BF2 with uniforem soldiers and the like... looks like they just souped up TFC with the source engine and a few models.

They are infact ingame, but some of the effects have been added post-process. The character models are final, and the trailer is in engine.

I think they look abit like the WWII German soldiers. The Soldier seems to have a german helmet.

it does seem a bit cartoony, but TFC was the opposite of realistic to begin with. If they can create the same experiance and same type of classic maps, I'll be playing..
