The really honestly surprising thing about WoW is the lack of an expansion pack still. 2 years as of this November.

They better come out with one hell of an expansion pack although it's not like they are hurting ;)

Am I the only person who notices that almost all those games are just point and click leveling games?

You've got a point, there.

What if Neocron was a point 'n click?

What if Neocron was a point 'n click? i still think it would be buggy as hell

Guffaw at Runescape and it's ridiculous 6.3% - that "game" was something awful. (free but what a waste of time=money != free!)

i'd like to see what guild wars has, its got over 2 million subscriptions for sure (maybe closer to 3 now) which is close to half of what WoW has (around 6 currently) but is never on the charts because its not technically an mmorpg

of course the results for it will be biased becasue guildwars 'subscriptions' never close, so there will be a lot of unused ones

no mothly fee for GW either...

I dont see why people bitch so much about monthly fees honestly, if youre not old enough to afford $12usd then maybe you shouldnt be playing online games....

giga191

i'd much rather pay subscription fee than having to pay for a shitty single player game every week that will last me a day at most.

and people only play runescape because they're poor ^^

I agree, single player cames cost me $50 bucks (lets pretend I paid ;) ) and last me maybe an afternoon or a night.
I played NC for almost 2 years straight, thats alot more than 50.

its funny u should say that considering when i started NC 1 back in 2003 there was talks about the DOY expansion which was scheduled to come out within a few months of me playing, and it didnt come out until 2005 ?

Yeah, because the size of KK and Blizards teams are remotely comparable

Well the amount of content in the patches since it's release would probably easily cover an expansion pack if it was released all at once.

Heavyporker

Maybe, maybe not. Remember that a lot of the patches' contents were to fix stuff, not add pure content. Since an expansion pack is essentially pure content, it'd be difficult to compare that with a bunch of patches.

im not sure how wow is different then all the other fantasy mmorpgs, but for some reason it's the only one I find enjoyable.

i can't play wow for the same reason I play nc, but it has a place. I understand how it's so popular.

They have an expansion coming in october i think, and it seems pretty extensive.

ROFL- seriously all of you guys that are good at making videos and editing them- need to make a movie of like 60 WoW players charging through a area in Neocron- and then getting mowed down by like one speedgat tank
