Cap your char first...

Or get bloody close

Take a ppu
And a Tank (Heavy combat)...

Go shoot a spot in MC5 for 2 weeks solid... Release you got alot of Hawkings dupes.. Spend another 2 weeks trading...

Insert your MC5 chip.

Get red soulight, lose it next week, rince and repeat.

You go to the MC5 area, H-14. It's just west of Soliko Lab. It looks like the newb area mc5 but the guards are hostile. You go into the main building and kill the MC5 Commander. He drops an unresearched part of an MC5 chip. (Each chip consists of 6 parts, like regular rares). It's the only NPC that drops the parts to these chips.

Don't even enter that sector if you aren't capped and with a PPU. It's basicly a tank/ppu(/apu) job.

To be honest, it's an annoying, repetitive process that everyone hates.

MC5 chips have traditionally been a real pain to get in NC - out of all the high level content I found them to be the least fun to get. They are neccessary for some combat setups, but really the only class that needs them are high-level rare using PEs and hybrid monks/tanks. Tanks dont need them, spies can get by without them and non hybrid monks can do better with putting in a resist chip or moveon.

The question you have to ask yourself is: Do you have what it takes (a lot of time and patience)?

It's not all doom and gloom tho. If you're after anything other than a Dimension Splitter and Sinaptic Accelerator, you might be able to buy one from a player for a tidy 7 figure sum. The other two will cost you a lot more...
