since when does the nc launcher ask for a game cd?

I've heard about that problem before but I can't recall on why it occured. Hmm, maybe I remember wrong but have you just copied the nc2 directory or have you installed the game?

i installed it from cd's where i put it on

Afaik it asks for the CD if the file "terraincd.dat" is not in the neocron folder. If every other file is ok and around, just copy this small file over.

im gona redowload the client anyone have an idea where i can do that best all the links on the nc site i tried work but stop downloading too soon and the setup just says data corrupt

Everytime i have downoadet NC2 i got it from www.dome-of-york.com/download (At least i hope that was it)
