[OT] Half Life 2 - Episode One

Since about last Friday this game has been paid for and sitting on my hard drive waiting to be played once Valve unlock it and now due to time zones i'm still waiting.

Anyone else waiting for Valve to turn on Episode 1? I'm rather looking forward to this.

EDIT: And apparantly the Friends network is now fixed - not that it took forever, lol

Supposedly Alyx follows you around almost constantly, and Dog makes a few appearances. Make of that what you will. Dunno whther I am going to pay $20 for what is essentailly a single player map pack (although possibly a very good one).

Hmm gordon is a kinda creepy guy. Gman still takes the cake for creepy although hes been getting more mysterius than creepy since HL 1.

Just stick with HL2:ep1 ....i knew SiN was going to be short but finished it in under 3 hours...kinda pissed me off lol

Heh - Spose this is a bad time to mentio my Spare time project? Working on a SP campaign for HL1. Why HL 1 you say? Well, it's easier to work with ( been out longer equals more experience in it!) It's something I trust, and it's fool proof.

The amount of time it's been out means there's some excellent resources for it, and great community support. It's something I can imagine taking my time over, at best guess my current ETA on any kind of release is well into the christmas period.

As for HL2, gonna pick it up at some point tomoz.

Now i've finished it.

Well that only took 4 hours and 50 minutes.....although when you run the game again, it gives a sneak peak of Episode 2 which involves some nasty looking combine shiz and something i wont spoil but seeming rather significant.

Hmm... thought it might have been longer. Good though, really good.

I might do the same, assuming they will actually release one (and i'm sure they will, there's always some "collectors edition" deal they all bring out afterwards). It's more fun to play everything at once than playing for a couple of hours, then having to wait a long time for the next one, wanting more. Part of that last sentence sounds quite familiar somehow. :rolleyes: I'm off back to shoot a few arabs in Hitman, "A House of Cards", need to assassinate two arabs and their scientist. Silenced 9mm bullet to the back of the head FTW. The environments look damn sexy with everything maxed out.
