View Full Version : My friend just joined NC and has problems...
He's using a Laptop with a USB mouse.
As soon as he goes ingame, he gets sync...
if he relogs, he can move for 5 more seconds before sync happens again.
also he's got a right click bug, keeps rightclicking constantly for no reason.

He's had enough, if someone could help removal of these things...
He just might stay in the game!

Obvious question: has he tried logging in with said USB mouse unplugged? Any change then?
yes he has tried that...

Some more obvious questions:
ISP?
Connection Speed?
How's the laptop connected to the net? (/me hates wireless networks)
Have you ran a trace to see where the connection could be dropping causing the sync?
Do a google search for Ping Plotter. I believe it has a freeware version and tracks UDP packets over a time frame so you get a much better idea of where the issues are coming from.

Laptop is connection through the net through a wired Router

try reinstalling.
I had the same problem when nc2.1 came out.
i ususaly have this when my ping is VERY high. it takes the game a while to actually reach where i see myself thus i cannot reach things until a few secs after im there
Not sure if this helps or not, but when I first got my laptop I bought a POS "GE" USB optical mouse and it did the same thing...the drivers were fubar ended up having to reinstall the driver for the touch-pad to get it working right. Never buy a cheap mouse.

Make sure that his VSYNCH is turned off - this was a known cause of some such problems.

He's got it fixed now by reinstalling and changing to his home network...
But he's bored of the game already, we only just did the 1st noob mission for the infiltrator...
I'll get him in the aggies :p

He just hates the state of the player models really...and Finds the game boring, I'll try and find things that'll get him addicted to the game :p

I'd trade my wow account ANYDAY only to PvP in NC once again..
cant get better than NC. (trust me Ive seen WoW PvP and done PvP, you cant have NCAT vs FA Alliance fights in there, or any clan vs FF.. just cant.
outnumbered means u die. theres no adrenaline rush when I pvp in wow.
plus NOTHING is better than NC noobie fights.
2 lvl 25-30 taking on eachother... <3
point of my whole offtopic story; there isnt a game thats more fun/exciting as NC, plus its easy to get items/rares/capped.
tell him that nobbster.

Just tie him to a chair and glue one hand to the mouse and other hand's fingers to WASD and thumb to space - he'll be hooked in no time. Trust me. It ain't rocket science.

@ ROZ/Rog,
if we KNOW we can get our acc sorted (items AND a good clan) we'd reactivate in notime.
but atm we're busy getting a good guild in WoW, and some epixses. (warlock ftw <3)
Im missing NC PvP alot though :(
In NC I wouldnt have to worry about dying when fighting multiple opponents.
In WoW I'd most likely die vs 3 enemies. although Im a dirty overpowered warlock that can take on 4 ppl when I got my gear, I'd still die if at least one of them was a bit skilled (which they aint in 90% of my fights).
In NC I knew who to avoid (means noone) and who to fight (everyone).
I miss it alot :(
btw if we ever do reactivate, Im making a monk. I would level so goddamn fast you wouldnt even notice that I've leveled it.
btw, do come play WoW, we got some hot chicks playing <3

well with the current nc state its something like this.............
set the nc port to a hard number and open the ports on your router ....
