A month or more ago you hired a writer i believe to enhance the storyline of neocron. Well so far I havent seen anything, but I dont play as much so I could be wrong. Is there going to be anything cool or interesting happening soon? Sorry this isnt a flame at the new employee, but what have you done and what are you working on?

and crazy phails at life. :D SPAM 4TW!

and it takes one writer more than a month to figure out the entire storyline, think up something, and then get it approved. needless to say it takes KK about 5 times as long to get it ingame

If they up the agerating to 18 and let hell-demon get involved in the storyline this game will be interesting, even for the storyline alone. I'd say it would get advertising just from word of mouth allready :-)

The storyline does this all the time, you get a few weeks of flow (in the mags) and then nothing for ages.

For events sometimes i think they just dont have the GM numbers to carry them out.

The community should be involved in the story line if thats the case.

Hell, if they want the community will even do GFX for them lol.

If you want to be involved in the storyline, check for events, faction objectives or apply for an rp-char position. We have been doing a lot of runner initiated action recently.
There have been some hold-ups but the storyline will pick up speed again soon. I have been here for more than a month btw, and the things we have staged since were quite impossible to miss :-)
I can always do with more Reporters, and new Faction Assistants are more than welcome, too. So yes, part of it is in your hands.

Faction Objectives? you mean a series of emails that our actions have no effect on?
Faction Assitants and Coroporate Contacts? You mean KK characters who completley ignore my attempts to engage them in RP?
Apply for an RP position? Almost everybody I know who has tried has been rejected for some technicality.
About to get going? We've been told this so many times my faith has gone.
Look, I appreciate you seem to be trying, but we simply aren't seeing any of this in terms of ingame results. The reduction to ONE English speaking EGM doesn't help matters on Terra either.

It might be worth noting that some of the people using the roleplay characters have half a clue about what they're doing and where they're going as well. In two of the most recent events, I had to tell them where to go, on separate occasions.

The funniest of the two being when I had to direct the person to the Industrial GR area (at the time of the NC food supply contamination) because he was going the wrong way. Apart from this, they were speaking Engrish, and took an incredibly long time to move on to the next part.

The "faction objective" regarding who is helping HIOB was probably the worst "event" or storyline related incident so far, partly due to what is mentioned above, and the other part being that it was a WASTE of time and BORING. You just ran around, and if you were lucky, you got a small prize (or in their words a "generous reward") of at least 15k for finding a "secret paper" in a box. This was then repeated a few times, until we were told H.I.O.B was hidden in the CA HQ, or something, and then nothing happened when everyone got there. The main person in charge of it all just disappeared, and that was it. All over.

Why couldn't this be made fun, such as creating a nice fighting sector containing a person or persons playing the traitors who were helping H.I.O.B, and we all had to kill them? As with the whole Ironhead thing, various mobs could be spawned that help distract people from trying to shoot him, like some of the malfunctioning copbots as seen in the Gaia mine. They would have been hacked to attack anyone that is against H.I.O.B.

One of the roleplay people got an FRE too. Maybe this makes the developers realise the problems behind FRE's ARE a problem?

Well, it seems a "solution" to the Engrish problem was found last night - despite a bunch of german-played characters attending, the spoke good English. The reason seems to be that they had a carefully preprepared script, which was then SMSed or typing macroed. The downside to this was that the script addressed questions to the players there a couple of times, but had no way of responding to the answers...

It could be hard to find people on terra to play the RP chars who you can trust to not fuck up the event. We have alot of asshats on there, if youll excuse my french.
