[OT] Building a PC

I'm building a new comp for my brother. He does graphic design and various media stuff. But he's also gonna play games on it, all the new FPS games. So I'm wondering about my choice of OS. I've got WinXP MCE picked out, because of all the extra widgets it comes with. But is it full XPpro underneath that? It can't be some dumbed down streamlined pos, it has to have all the functionality regular XP has. Is anyone using media center edition?

I know windows xp pro and MCE have the same services, and as far as i know thats the only real diffrence. My server has MCE on it and its honestly exactly like xp pro that comes with some programs.

Thanks. I was worried I'd install it and it would be 4 big colorful buttons instead of the familiar windows gui.
