Finding FF7 in a stack of old discs in my garage, I decided to install it on my PC, My old windows 95 was never good enough to run the game, so It was pushed to the side...

one question, How can I change the resolution so it's 1027/thingy ?

I'm not 100% but I think the PC version of FFVII only runs in 320x200 software mode or 640x480 software and hardware modes. FFVII is a very old game and I'd actually be suprised if you can run it in Windows XP (I know I couldn't).

I can run it on the lower res, but it looks poo tbh...FF7 was a great game...

also the sound is a bit "Pingy", could be old age...but It didn't sound like that on my play station

HERETIC!

Final Fantasy VII, one of the best games in the series and one of the better games ever to be unleashed into this world. Uneducated fool! :p

Ahh the old final fantasy games where the eyes sort of bulged out and wobbled around whenever they got hit.

Fond memories.

God dayum I envy you.

I sooooo NEED Final fAntasy 7. I played 8 to death but whenever I mention people just rave on about how coolio 7 is. Problem is, it costs a bomb on eBay, and, um.... I dont have any moneys.

Actually assman FF3 ftw. Nothing beats a game where the world gets destroyed half way through. :D

Well FF7 was the most revolutionary of the series, FF3 (Japans FF6) was by far the best storyline.

The biggest problem in FF7 for the PC is the whole game is run from MIDI mode. Which makes the music really crappy compared to PS1.

Midis can actually sound really good, on a good soundcard. Sadly, most PC soundcards dont have particauarly good midi voice libraries.

I played FF7 not all that long ago on XP, using the XP patch.

Forced some x16 AA on there, fuck it looked good.

VII was the first FF I played, I have since tried to get into the earlier ones but man.. I just can't stomach the retro graphics. Though if I'd played them back in the day I'd probably feel differently. :)

Just tracked my old copy down. My Nvidia card has a spazfit everytime I try to whack it on though, so I'm arsing around between ATI for my classics and Nvid for my up to date gamery.

Oh dear lord Cait Sith is the sex.
