hmm...ea will problly fuck it over. but maybe JUST MAYBE We can get a quality game this time. [/sarcasm]

fmv will return as will kane
gdi and nod returns
and it sticks to cannon
I'm waiting on Supreme Commander - the spritual successor to Total Annihilation (it's designed by the same guy, but he doesn't own the IP to TA anymore and Atari are idiots and don't want to know apparently)

Well you can have a tiberium series cnc game without resurecting khaine. Hope theyll make it true to the old cnc games this time.
Well, i think i'll wait and see although i'll probably enjoy it as its a C&C game i just hope they dont fuck it over big style and its proper C&C action unlike Generals/ZH. Also isnt this title supposed to be Tiberium Twilight? the final part of the mini trilogy - Dawn, Sun....Twilight?
They couldnt even leave the GDI logo and name of the game alone ¬_¬, bastards.
I do so hate EA.
Nothing can beat a bit of old school Red Alert 2.
But this looks rather interesting, i hope its not similar to generals o_0
I was dissapointed with it :(

Well the title is only the working title it can and most likely will change before release.
Also the logo is pure speculation. Nobody's got anything solid on that theyve only been playing around with overlaying known logo's in Paint.
Im kinda optimistic about this. But if they fuck it up im arming myself and heading for the EA HQ.
RA2 and "old school" in the same sentence... *sigh*
C&C forever.
if you want it oldschool: Dune2. ok, its not command&conquer, but its as oldschool as it gets I think.
nice memories, was playing that one on my Amiga500 :D
Played them all, but RA2 comes out tops :D
Anyone here have C&C soundtrack CD? Dune2's music is brilliant as well. I just love Klepacki.

I've been playing Dune 2 this week actually. DOSbox ftw! :D
I also hope that they get it right this time, Generals was ok, it just didn't feel like a Command and Conquer game though...

I really do just hope its decent.
If they can capture just one iota of whatever made the original CnC one of my favorite games of all time I will be happy. And amazed. And I would have to hate EA a little less...
i prefer generals to red alert (although i do miss the dogs and tesla coils)
tesla coils)yeah, I want one in NC!!! dzzzz

hmm my guess is that they wont get joe kucan back(kane)
and frank klepacki to do the music again.
The C&C music is awesome by him too, Stomp (Tib Sun theme) is my second favorite C&C tune after the combination of both Hell Marchs. :D

Speaking of 'Spiritual Successors' - where is Bioshock ?!?

In medium-late development I believe. Planned release is early 2007.

Generals didn't feel like a Command and Conquer game because essentially it wasn't. Nor will this game be. The core development people that made the other Command and Conquer games left after EA Games absorbed Westwood Studios, before Generals was made. They formed their own company named Petroglyph and developed the game Star Wars: Empire at War so far.
Now I'm not saying EA can't make a good RTS, but it simply won't have the same feel as the other Command and Conquer games (before Generals), because those people responsible don't work there anymore. :(

I desperatley want to play that game again, but i end up having real problems getting it running on my Windows XP machine ...
SS2 crashes my XP box so bad I have to do multiple reboots to get things working properly again. So I screenshotted the cool Trioptimum logo and I use it as my XP logon icon. :D

For a while i had a very cool System Shock 2 Bootskin thing, if i find it again i'll let you know ;)
Nice, looks nice too. I love the GDI/NOD thingy they got :). Nothing beats Dune 2 though...

Have you tried the tons of crash fixes out there? :P
Have you tried the tons of crash fixes out there? :PYep. It wouldn't run at all, then it would start loading and ctd, then it got a bit further and shocked my system. I'm just gonna use my old AXP2000+ and build a second retro gaming PC with Win98 on it when I have the chance. :)
Hmmm...nah, I'm waiting for Hitman:BloodMoney.
I've never had any problems running patched SS2 on my Win2k and none of my friends, who have played it on 2k and/or XP, haven't had any problems either. It crashes occasionally, but it does that on older OSs as well. Only "special" thing I needed to do was the installion trick ("-lgntforce" extra command line option). Cooperative rocks, but everyone should play it through all alone first....
"Are you affraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?"
Yeah used that parameter to install it under win2k as well and added a line in a config file to prevent crashing and rewriting the exe file so the game automatically turns off hyper threading (which makes the game lock up at certain areas). Works fine, no crashes at all etc.
