View Full Version : [OT] Daniel Craig as James Bond
http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/j/ap/xag10310141239.widec.jpgWhen I heared that he was the next James bond for the next film "Casino Royale", I thought it was a joke...
so ...
" I like him" or "I don't like him"
I Don't like him gets my vote!
Doesn't look anything like a bond, more gimp than anything!
Trust nobby to bring up a seriously old topic.
Yeah its been well known that Daniel Craig will be James Bond for months, and months...

Still doesnt dampen the point that Daniel Craig looks like a twat and shouldnt be Bond :)
Hes not suave enough tbh.
:( sorri for being late...
But yes, he does look like a twat.
I say give him a chance. I still remember the outcry when it was announced that Michael Keaton would play Batman.

Edited for Spemy's sake
Micheal Caine in a Batman film? surly you mean Batman Begins with Christian Bale as the latex loving bat?
EDIT: :p

Disregard my post.
I am ze tosser.
That dude looks more like he should be one of the villains... Definitely not suave/refined enough looking to be a Bond. It's the acting that counts though, if he can kill while sipping a martini it's all good. :p
christian bale should be bond...
just cuz he's got that fucked up look in his eyes, he has the whole cultured thing going, etc.
that and i just happened to luv that american psycho movie >_<
I must admit that i'm gonna see it, not for bond, not for the action but for the Danish villian played by Mads Mikkelsen (Tristan in "King Arthur") mostly cause he pretty much sucked at english in King Arthur but also because he's a cool actor in Denmark.

Or Dalton, for that matter.

I don't mind Dalton too much. In some respects he's a truer Bond than the others. Much closer to the Fleming character, darker and a bit more ruthless and cold.

At least we know if he sucks ass he wont be coming back, and that the series will survive a bad bond here and there. What a cash cow that bond franchise is.. 8|

Nothing gayer than that for a bond tbh..... Second thought, no self respecting gay man would be cought dead in that shirt so.... Nothing more repugnant than that for a bond.

no one of us - I'm sure - had seen the new "Bond film", therefore i suggest to wait. And let us see, how he will perform in the new film. Give him a chance.

DAD did do well in one area of Bondage. Utter rediculousness. Impossible gadjets, daft story. It was Moonraker and YOLT all over again.
I guess we should all be thankful they picked him and not some of the others they had their eye on...

And then there's the bad choice of supporting roles... which I won't even begin to mention. :p Daniel Craig is a decent enough actor, hopefully he won't have blonde hair in the film though. heh

It's dirty blonde form the footage I've seen so far.

It's still blonde. :)
Indeed, it's one of the biggest complaints about him so far. So daft :p.
The names Blonde, James Blonde.
Yes, i'll be getting my coat and going to lock myself in a small dark room in a few moments but i agree on the fact he looks more like a Bond villan than the suave martini guzzeling ladies man himself.
I also agree Christian Bale would be quite a cool bond.
I'm just going to give him his chance.
One thing though, James Bond is one of the most well known and recognised secret agents to the bad guys. The poor fellow must be fed up with meeting the bad guys and hearing "I've been expecting you Mr Bond."
So like any good secret agent, he changes his appearance. This time, the MI6 budget stretched to giving him blonde hair.
The bad guys won't be expecting a blonde Bond!

To be fair, It does look like he'll be doing more groping than womanising... the whole bond image this time round just screams lechery :S

Actually to be honest, the bloke on the left looks better than the blonde gimp.
one thing is sure : he cannot be better than Sean Connery and cannot be worse than Dalton.
But is it true that he refused to drive a non-automatic car ?
