they usually dont provide any chance of PvP ...the victim has not the least chance to do anything about it...thus its kinda frustrating and banned.

thats 100% legit on teh r2k server ;)
anyway... bf2 is certainly no substitute for nc, yet a refreshing game for the lil bits inbetween or while lomming :p

i would play bf2 but the latest patch screwed my fps or somthing.

Make sure you have 2 gigs of good ram before you get a second videocard. Probably better for the performance gain. You know its not all about the fps. :)
Actualy finaly upgraded to a 6800gt myself. Have yet to try it in bf2 over my 6600gt. It only cost my 6600gt +100cdn also.

I had that Same problem Terayon. I had to do a Reformat and That fixed my problem. Im still not sure what cuased it. But now it works. So i do not think it is the patch.
I'm patched, but can't connect to any server, no matter what the status is. Firewalls configured, but I do have a copy of 32 man LAN installed so Maybe a reinstall of the game is in order.

If you are a sniper, are you allowed to go snipe enemy airfield since you can just walk up to me with a rifle and bombombombom.

Well... unless its a "non-capture" airfield you're ok to do so... otherwise, no ;)
btw: you should get a quite decent ping from sweden as well - the routing seems alright. Anyway.. gotta bash them r2k nibs now :p

I have 3 friends with the nvidia 6 generation cards and they all get the samr thing as me. Well its a bit diffrent for them. For instance they get good fps but mouselag while flying now. Basicly what i get. My screen will freeze but in that time im still controlling my guy and stuff still happens. So i get out of a helicopter and spin around 6 times. Very disorienting.
I've got 6600GT and I don't have any huge problems with the current patch :confused:
hmm.. cant confirm this either.. although bf2 certainly is quite hardware-hungry - at least if you want to play with a decent level of details. A GF6600+ should be sufficiant tho .. without mouselag or frame-hickups ... the latest patch even increased the rendering performance for me

well i played there all week. every evening from about 5 pm - 1 am it was full as hell. (german time)
even today (1st day armored fury) it was sold out :p
btw u wont win it anyway so dont waste time. its worth the lil cash.

I still hate that patch that ruined my grenade launcher jump shot. My accuracy was so crazy with that.
imo they shouldn't have tanks and apcs on the city maps, and i'm not sure what ea were trying to do by adding airstrikes..........

And it's just funny shooting people out of helicopters. I even managed to take down a jet once that tried to bomb me and came straight towards me :lol:
And it takes about 25 kills for the enemy team to realise there will be no heli liftoff if I'm still around.

And it takes about 25 kills for the enemy team to realise there will be no heli liftoff if I'm still around. i love doing that, i also have a tactic for close combat where i shoot them once with the sniper rifle and then quickly finish them with a silenced pistol shot. lol @ all the spec ops that i've killed like that
C4 Jeeps is proberly the only thing i do, and Snipe the Enemy airfields.

the problem with sniping is that by the time you have 30:0 k/d, there's around 5 people who are dedicating the rest of the game to hunting you down :lol:
And the C4 Trick normally gets me killed. but tbh when i paly BF2, my K:D ends up being 30:99

If people keep running in front of your plane make em pay. Wait till they drive a Tank and then fly your fully loaded transport helicopter into the tank from behind. He'll get 5 TKs and gets instabanned :lol:

As for kami: Flying a jet into a fully loaded blackhawk takes no skill and doesnt leave the attacked with the slightest chance to fight - same accounts to c4-kami. giga is a living example for how to use that technique properly - kill without blowing yourself up = no kami. Jeep + C4 is no banned action on the server.
I think using a jeep to c4 a tank takes skill.. seeing as the tank can 1 shot kill you.

I agree - selfkills are not exactly demonstration of skill tho' - taking out a tank with a buggy/c4 and not blowing yourself up... takes skill. Thats why it's not forbidden ;)

Nothings more funny than sniping out a helicopter pilot, and watching it drop like a rock.
This one time on Oman, US guy started to takeoff in the heli, so i hit it with a rocket, killed the pilot, and the damn thing fell on my head and killed me.
since patch 1.4 i am playing bf again (on the r2k server) and i wonder what happend to the other nc guys i used to see there.
you guys still playing bf ?
patch 1.4 solved a few problems and the new map is sexeh.
