The one pitfall I can frsee with the balancing forum at the moment is the fact that our population is so damned small. I mean, putting forth an idea is all well and good, but fr themost part you're left with the hard-core of the fanbase, who yes, may provide good ideas and such, but my fear is that once ( IF!) populations do rise, the balancing tweaks may not sit well with the majority of players.
By the majority, i mean the hopefully large influx of newbies, who weren't around to see the various inbalances befoe this most recent bout of balancing. Whereas a lot of the vets may appreciate this change, it could act as a bit of a put off with the new players, driving them away...
This is all theoretical, and relies on
A) balancing being carried out
B) Influx of new players/
Bleh, just some mindless drivel that was running through my mind.
