I was just reading through another post on this forum (it's old so i won't reply - bumping = bad :p) and they listed some ports which you need allowed on your firewall.

TCP/IP: 7000, 8020, 8040, 12000, 13000
UDP: 6000, 6001, 5000 - 5016

Just wondering if I should have all of these port forwarded by my router, unfortunately my crappy router (my dad's really) only has 10 availible ports to forward and he's taken up 8 of them so I'm stuffed. Just wondering if that's why 9/10 times my logins are fucked up. I have the port used in neocron.ini forwarded but I didn't know about those others..

I have a router for my connection, that is closed by the company that I got it from.

The only ports being forwarded to my internal network is for 3 services:
- HTTP
- FTP
- SMTP

My Neocron works just fine, so I dont think you need any forwarding written to the router.

The client should open the ports to the servers, and allow traffic to get back to the client.

I am sure that the stated ports are not opened in my router for incoming traffic, unless some program from the inside network has started the comunication.
