Games locks at loading screen...

Which part of the loading screen?, if you have firewall software running the little window often pops up behind neocron and you can see it.

Try running in WindowMode (At the launcher screen click Configure then Configure hardware, then choose windowmode from the mode dropdown).

You can then turn window mode off again afterwards.

99% a firewall / router issue.
Disable your firewall / connect directly to the net or .. if you kow what you do, make sure to open/map the following ports:


TCP/IP: 7000, 8020, 8040, 12000, 13000
UDP: 6000, 6001, 5000 - 5016

If that didnt help .. although I am sure it will, check your updater.ini and compare/add the following entries:



SERVERIP=62.140.29.50
PORT=8020
GAMESERVERIP=62.140.29.50
HOMEURL=http://launcher.neocron.com/
ISRETAILVERSION=1
USELOCALPORT=0
LOCALPORT=21084


..if that didnt help either, post the content of your error.logs, clientliblog and init.log

if its a software firewall, like Mcafee Firewall, just go to the settings and allow Client.exe to access the internet.

If its a hardware firewall, like a liksys router, follow elGringo's steps. Its called Port Forwarding, by the way.
