I'd like to point out that, while getting stuck in your epilepsy warning, I actually read the fine print.
The second paragraph states that you should consult a physician before playing if you get any of the following symptoms (all listed off) while playing. To me, this does not make sense.

I was the creator of that epilepsy warning

Yup I know you love me for it.

Well you didn't create the skewed logic in the warning I have to look at. Just the fact that its there.

if only they listened to important ideas like they do things like that

Lol some of these things occur natrually to some people when playing NC

Its all law, they have to write these things to close every loophole to which someone could sue if they did have an epileptic fit.

Im glad neither one of you actually realized what I was saying.
I KNOW THERE IS A WARNING, I KNOW WHY, but the way it is phrased is terrible, Consult a physician before playing this game if you have any of the following symptoms while playing.

cRazy-

Yeah, I must admit I dont really give much of an arse about a mismatch of words on an epilepsy warning...

Safunte
22-02-06, 08:14
well i did since i was stuck staring at it for ages

eprodigy

well yeah i suppose...

and KK didn't add that because they care about people with epilepsy, so you'd think they could bother wording it properly. but then one part of the game would actually be done right, can't have that...

I think it meant to say something like "if you have previously had epiletic symptons, consult your physician/doctor (wtf? physician? this isnt the middle ages) before playing this game" .

I think it's pretty clear what it's trying to say, even if it is slightly incorrect in its wording. Your comment is duly noted.

I want someone from KK to admit if I didnt make that thread they would of never thought of implimenting an epilepsy warning :p

Nidhogg

It was just coincidence. Sorry. ;)

Considering after I made that thread a patch with the epilepsy warning was released later on in the same day, Id say it wasnt a coincidence :p

Now factor in the delay for design/code/test...

Gd point,

No way they would have got all the Wording checked by legal's and inplanted that flash screen al in one day,
Soz Crazy

cRazy-
23-02-06, 01:17
lol trust me Pantho its easy, if you notice it was 2am when I posted that, the epilepsy warning appeared later on in the same day, It could take a few hours max to write that and impliment the screen, you dont need it checked by legals, if it gives a suitable warning of possible epileptic fits, the loophole in the law is covered.

Whats the changes of it being a precise coincidence on the same day?

well the chickens in chicken run managed to escape in the plane they constructed together with the odds 1 million to 1 against them...

Pantho

Still possible :p,

Anyways im fairly sure the Statement would have/should have been written or read by some with some legal format, Then again its worded wrong so maybe not tbh,

cRazy-

It doesnt *need* to be checked by some sort of lawyer, anyone with some common sense can word a statement to cover all loopholes.

lol I said you dont *need* to, you should get it checked over by a lawyer but it isnt nessesserily a requirement to write a viable disclaimer.

I suppose you do have to know basic knowledge of law, I might be speaking from this point of view because statements such as that are more common sense since ive studied up on this kind of stuff.
