I dont understand forum names

This is a new account since I quit near neocron 1 so I registered this forum account in november, went for the name 'crazy' and bam, its been taken, fine so I registered crazy-

Now whats confusing me is this,

Click search members then type in 'crazy', i'll give you £100 if you find a member with the username crazy on there, it was the same back in november.

So how come I couldnt use it if it doesnt even exist in the first place? :(

Isn't it like the same in nc2? Old trial users that has reserved nicknames in-game? Not sure but it seems like it.

Heres a thought did you start a new account totally or did you link it from your nc1 account?

Im thinking that you still have the name crazy on a caancelled nc1 account and so it cant be used.

I transfered from nc1-2 at the changeover carried the chars over and kept my forum name except the join date is wrong it should be jan 04.

Only people with 3 posts or more appear in the member list, "Crazy" doesn't have any. The account exists though and before you ask, no, you can't have it. :p

Yet the name database for Neocron 2 was clean, hence name stealing - so somone has touched it since Neocron 1 :p
