NC and ATI drivers.

So.... after not having played this game for 6 months (and I was loving it) I decided it was time to once again do some oldschool pvping (WoW pvp sucks).

I've installed ATI Driver Catalyst 5.9
It messes up my graphics after x minutes.

I used to have no problems with Catalyst 5.4 ...
does anyone know how the new drivers work? Catalyst 6.1 ?
do they mess up the graphics?
or am I better off installing the 5.4 drivers again :p

Might install 5.4 catalyst driver.. never had a prob with that.
5.9 and 6.1 fuck up my FPS.. its like 30ish now.

New veg very much for the win. bombing about in a reveler in the swamp sectors last night i had between 50 and 70 FPS with veg detail on full ;) :D

I use a 9800XT on my second gaming computer. I've had no problems with the Catalyst 6.1's.

I'm using Cat version 6.14.0010.6583(not sure if that's 6.1 or 5.9), with a 9800 Pro, with no problems..

You got DirectX fully up to date, version 9.0c ?

btw, I used thew Cat uninstaller, last time I updated gfx drivers..

I'm using a 9600XT with the 6.14.0010.6575 driver (running NC@ in DX7, of course).

I only install the driver, no utility or other resource-hogging crap.

I remember I had to update the driver after NC2 patched to 2.1 - had to get one with WHQL signatures.

9600Pro here lol. 256mb and i get 76 fps everywhere ,(or did until 2.1 Patch) Had some major FPS issues, ended up formatting my PC and re-installing new drivers from ait sight.

Now i get 76fps everywhere expect for OP fights :p and Plaza 1, which drop it to 20-30
