questions about different channels

Yeah I know it's kinda sad asking this, but I can't figure out how to use things like the main channel everyone's always talking on and the alliance channel. Can someone point me in the right direction?

F1 key brings up com channel controls. Under "Custom" (I think) you will see OOC, NC Trade etc.

To be able to hear what people are saying on that channel you double click over the brackets to the left of the channel title. [ ] = silent [X] = you receive that channels messages.

To send chat in a channel, you must have that channel set to [X] AND highlighted (click on the channel name).

While you can recieve (listen) to as many channels as you want, you can only transmit (send) in one chat channel at a time.
