I think I have a memory leak on my comp when I play Neocron. Anyone know of any fixes?
Thanks

There are tons of memory leaks in Neocron. Hit alt+F to see your free memory, and when it gets below 100 or so, restart your client. It clears out your memory (mostly) and you can continue playing.
Running game in DX7 will minimize the memory leaks I think, I don't lose free mem as much as with DX9.
heh i would have to restart my client every zone

Faster CPU (with as much cache as you can get)
More, Faster RAM (1GB minimum).
Get Faster hard drives (x2)
Set up a 3GB Virtual Memory page file on another drive:
Set your C: drive Virtual Memory page file to 2-50MB.
Better Graphics Card (with as much RAM on it as you can get).
Won't stop memory leaks, will reduce the frequency of them.
I'm not sure why as nothing's changed on my system, but I'm only seeing a couple of megs free out of my total when i have the framerate display turned on. Is anyone else noticing this?

It's always been this way.
Hrrm. I can't say the same - it's only started happening recently...

No - it just means something's making them get worse of late. The issue has always been there.
Must be something serverside if indeed it is anything at all. I've only been doing my usual thing and the only websites I've been on are the Exiles pages and here, so net software and new installations are out of the equation.

ever use a Ram optimizer? I downloaded one the other day and when i see that i'm low, i alt tab over and have it free up some ram. seems to do the trick, but i havent tested it fully...
its called dRAMatic
No. I don't touch many tools. Not even with bargepoles. A kosher system is a happy system, especially when something breaks. Warranties are fun.
And I am poor. :(
