View Full Version : Hybrid Hunter/Skill Trader Monk - Your help please.

Ello folks,

I'm currently concidering making a hybrid monk to do the following things:

1) Poke tl 115 (including buffs and glove)
2) Barter (as high as possible)
3) Hack tl 60 (including buffs) warbots for rares and junk to sell.

Also im not sure if I should keep an LE in so he doesn't get ganged while hacking etc.

I'm strung between having enough ppu to use 3rd level buffs, and having a higher damage out put to drop warbots sooner. any suggestions would be great thanks.

€dit: well ... its a lit low ppw, but on depending solo-playing and pushing arround some points / imps .... swap a exp psi 3 in for the moveon is allways a good idea, cause much ppw 4tw :p

You may aswell swap the 2 resist chips for experimental ones because you won't really need "resists" if your just hunting.

Well if i ignore psi use (will be 60 anyway) I could have

150 barter
hack 56
poke 115

PPU 143
APU 81
PPW 29
MST 81


I should beable to in theory cast almost all ppu spells, ok not well, but since this isnt a pvp character i don't have to run cast,

With 29 PPW u have a Psi Pool below 100

and for example a third level buff needs 63 psi. so u will pay more money for psi booster then u receive from hunting -_-

Unless you take into account +50 from the tacyon glove and the fact that he'll have some recycle :)

I'd rather make a spy using a heavy scorpion trike. Nothing takes down mobs faster and you'll have loads of int and dex points to spend.

Pokes 115 with glove, hacks 60, casts shelter with 1 drug, 200 fire armor, heavy scorp trike, barter 140 with support buff 1 and barter implant instead of zerk 2, repairs tl 140 with glove, recycles up to tl 80 with glove.

Setup above an excellent template for a Scorp trike spy except swap the MC and HC around.

I know (hope) that nobody would copy it to the letter but just incase...
